I do find that quite strange as I can't see him as being a player Leipzig would keep anyway even if he did have a good loan spell with us

 

I think it was mentioned somewhere that the clubs were quite far apart on certain fees initially, I imagine it was probably the option to buy fee if there isn't one

I have asked Tanner, awaiting response, his article in Athletic says “with a view to a permanent move” so presumably he has some info 

 

The loan fee quoted for him going to palace a few weeks ago was £3.5m. If that’s accurate (and it’s weird to make that up) I would guess we recoiled at that... and rightly so!

I think he will be good back up and competition for Barnes which is a good thing, so I'm not unhappy,  and i think hes a decent player.  I just wish we had brought in a right winger, but maybe the Fofana injury, meaning we needed to spend money on Vestagard, put any potential right wing target out of out price range.

Everytime I watched Fulham, last season, he stood out, and I think they were quite unlucky to get relegated. 

 

I know it's all about the points, but for me, they were a better side than Newcastle
