I do sort of understand Watford's model but this particular change, it seems a bit of an odd one to me, he didn't do well at Fulham in similar circumstances.

Well you guys away is probably one of the “less” daunting paper of the fixtures coming up which shows how tough Ranieri is going to have it - even after Msn City it’s Burnley who always beat us and Brentford/Palace up till Xmas.

I hope the owners and fans don’t expect instant results !!

Your club expecting instant success? Don't talk silly, you're too patient

Man City fans will be happy considering, every time we play them, they're obsessed with singing about us sacking him.

Always love the response of us singing the exact same but adding Mancini though

There'll never be another like our Claudio. Forever a City hero and up there with the gods.

“My heartfelt thanks to everybody at the club, all the players, the staff, everybody who was there and was part of what we achieved. But mostly to the supporters. You took me into your hearts from day one and loved me. I love you too. No one can ever take away what we together have achieved, and I hope you think about it and smile every day the way I always will.

“It was a time of wonderfulness and happiness that I will never forget. It’s been a pleasure and an honour to be a champion with all of you.”

I have some fondness for him but he's a poor manager.

Great PR man though. World fell in love with us because he was sensational in front of the cameras.

Keep him away from the tactics side and Watford may do ok.

I'd much rather have jovial characters like him in the game than miserable old bitters like Allardyce.

Claudio will be good value.

As they're starting to get through our former managers I'm actually quite surprised they never went for sven in the early days

Add Rodger's to that list as former manager. That's 3 legends to us who will all likely leave/have left meaning nothing to them..

The media, in reporting CR's appointment, seem only to refer to his success in 2015/16 . Far more relevant to Watford's position is his appointment with Fulham, which lasted just 3 months. Watford, apart from Sarr (and Dennis if playing well) have a poor squad. (I have seen Watford a few times this season.) I can't see this working out; no doubt there will be a great atmosphere for the first game in charge - against Liverpool at home. (A baptism of fire?) If he lasts the season, he will have done well.

Hasn't he got a 2 year contract? He knows what he's doing. No one rates Watford. If they sack him, people will blame the poor squad, not him and he'll get a decent pay out.
