I think a banner knowing he's returning is a great idea provided it has Rodger's with the FA cup on it aswell.

Not sure why people are getting weirdly annoyed that you can't show respect to a former manager AND back your team on the same day. Most of our fans are weird and it's summed up in this thread

Was always meant to be CR on that surfer. Painted the torso and the rest of it just before he got sacked. Hence why it was Shakey in a suit which he never wears.

Well I genuinely never knew that! Didn’t recognise Shakey looking so slim!

That tifo was a saga to say the least.

Going slightly off topic, are there anymore tifo’s in the pipeline? There might be a thread on this already, apologies!

I just find it a bit harsh considering Rodgers hasn't really got a song. His name is sung now and then, mainly at away games, but I've not heard the whole ground get behind him.

To then get behing an opposition manager, regardless of who it is, is strange to me.

A song at the end is alright. I'll join in with that. I remember that happening to Pearson on his first return here.

Any joking aside, it was a memorable part of one of the greatest nights in the club’s recent history.

It looked impressive from all the way across the Atlantic.  :schmike:

Whether it's good PR or not, people just warmed to Ranieri more than they ever will with Rodger's.

Rodger's definitely deserves more vocal support from the stands. He gets less than any manager I've known, good or bad.

Maybe easy for me to suggest it as I have no idea how you'd make one

But a then now forever banner with Ranieri, O'Neill, Pearson, and Rodgers in a Mount Rushmore style photo?

In whatever order made most sense

It’s a pretty good idea in fairness.

Few things make it difficult at the moment. Brexit has meant getting the materials here is now harder and a lot more expensive. Two the club are increasingly tricky to work with on tifos and lastly just time now to make it.

But deffo noting that design idea down.

Nothing against showing Claudio a bit of appreciation but it seems like our fans only seem to want to get behind the team over trivial things like the referees performance, former managers and oppositions players. When it’s time to get behind our own team and manager everyone seems to go quiet

The true messiah, is of course Nigel Pearson.

He's also the only ex manager that would be in the conversation to replace Brendan if he leaves or gets the boot.

Why on earth given his track record since leaving would he be in the picture?

Ranieri, Rodgers, O’Neill are all the managers that have won silverware in my lifetime and therefore all deserving of any tributes.

Were you dead when Pearson was in charge?

Hull in the 2010/11 season. Though I can’t remember if he had a song sung about him.

There was a "one Nigel Pearson" from the Kop after the game. Was also Sven's first game I think.
