Really? Form this season has been good, prior to that?

Why doesn't Ole trust him then?

He's suspect.

I don't think OGS' judgement on whether or not a player is good is necessarily the best barometer to judge them by. That's before we get to the fact he's been in the same division as clowns like that Roberto (as an example) that pitched up at West Ham a year or so back.

De Gea has had an iffy few seasons but by no means has he been amongst "the worst in the league."

I can't find the MOTD thread...Micah Richards is a fvcking unit!

Talked about us complimentary, but mainly put Utd down.

He can do what he likes, I ain't arguing lol

To be fair to Richards, Mark Chapman specifically asked him about United’s performance as a contrast to City’s. Can’t really call him out for doing what he was asked.

OK, saying he was amongst the worst in the league was possibly an over reaction, but he had been poor.

He was that bad, and suffering a lack of confidence, that the manager bought in Henderson instead.

From the ridiculous mistakes that the "top" keepers have made, I'd prefer to have Kasper.

Allison and Ederson have made massive mistakes against us.

Kasper could be better in distribution, but you can't fault his reactions. There was one today, from a deflection, that he punched. You think 'why has he punched that?' But you see the deflection.

He's a Leicester City legend and an incredibly underrated keeper.

I love Micah as a pundit, always laughing and knows what he's talking about.

He's best on Sky, Roy Keane goes off on one and Micah just laughs lol

The most satisfying element of today’s experience was, apparently they could have sold 60+ thousand tickets based on enquiries……

Probably all wanting to see Ronaldo…. Har har ****ing har. Evans has ****ed his washing machine, because he washed his kit and Ronaldo was still in his back pocket.

I think we could've sold that many on Leicester City fans alone.

To see Leicester City.

So many thoughts about today. Madders wasn’t great - but he was very good! He finds those pockets between the lines and nearly always plays the ball forwards. When we have two willing runners as strikers, that makes us a different attacking  machine. I also thought Cags, Dan and Timmy were terrific. But my biggest shout-out goes to Soumare.  I thought he was terrific. Best player on the pitch? Naaaah. But extremely good. This boy has real influence and i think we’re going to love him.

I didn't compare him to Kasper...

Never said you did.

But I stand by the fact De Gea has been shite for the best part of 2 years.

Why go off on that weird tangent, then?

None taken man, what a bloody day.

I genuinely think there's been some awesome keepers in our time in the Premier League.

Lloris, De Gea, Allison, Ederson...

I'd still take Kasper overall.

Sorry if I've gone off on a tangent.

I genuinely believe he's the best all round keeper out of those.

I know what a weird thing to say? I presume it's meant as humour but not sure I find it funny......

That's because it's not funny - at best it's petty, at worst... well, there aren't the words for it.

What a brilliant game of football, we might not have played well this season but between that and the Napoli game we’ve had 2 of the best games of Rodgers’ reign in the last month. 3 sensational goals (Greenwood, Tielemans, Vardy).

We are a totally different side with Evans in it. I’m sure Evans brings out the best in Tielemans, he gets him on the ball in more advanced positions by doing the job Tielemans does for Maddison - that is to say he finds him with 10-15 yard straight passes through the centre of the pitch.

Finally I just want to put on the record that I thought that the refereeing was absolutely shocking today. There’s always some smart arse who says we only complain about referees when we lose, well we won today despite Pawson and his assistants’ best efforts. Seemed to actively go out of his way not to book United players even in the most obvious circumstances.

Normally I Dont have a dig at refs, & today, I thought the ref got the big Calls right.....

But those obvious  Petty fouls & Digs from Manu players, were totally ignored....

Plenty of touts around today, I walked past two on Raw Dykes Road. Just like the old days.

I went to the pub this evening and left giving me enough time to catch up with the still unknown result on MoTD iPlayer.

I had already spoken to my mum, who still lives near Leicester, on the phone before I went out and had to shut her up before she told me the result.

So I knew it was good news but not how good.

When I left the pub I said I was going home to watch MoTD and I had heard that Manchester United had won 6-0.

Wind-up merchant as always, I had to stop the people I was chatting to from telling me the real result.

I shall have to stop winding up the folks in the West Country as to most of them, East Midlands doesn't sound that different from Manc or anywhere else more than a hundred miles north!
