FWIW, my view on the expansion is that that ship has sailed.

 

We need to sort out the problems we have and get us on an upward trajectory before expanding the place.

Trying to remember the last time the club actively mentioned this outside of planning approval committees.  Was it the stalls they had outside the ground at home to Wolves first game of 2022/23?

Really like the look of the new Everton ground and with Moyes back things are starting to look good for the grand old team

Not to sound too soppy, but I'm happy for them. Quite like Everton fans and they're a much cooler club than their cross-city rivals.

The stadium expansion seems like a total waste of money. Owners seem to have given up.

Some interesting information coming out of Everton that season ticket sales around the new away end as markedly down compared to the other end of the stadium in particular. 

I guess them having a strong connection to an end at Goodison may factor this.

It would be utterly ridiculous to announce its starting this May.

Whether it's going ahead or not (suspect the latter) it's clearly too much to expect the club to give an update to it's supporters. They don't care about us.

We might be. Especially if fans & players give up on the King Power project, which also looks likely.

But committing to the stadium expansion would be a massive statement of intent. I’d be on board with that, as would many others I’m sure.

Starting the expansion when it looks like we'll spend the next decade outside of the top flight is exactly the sort of thing this board would do.

Given our player negotiations, I suspect building companies are gutted we are unlikely to proceed. Probably pay £50k to put one of those programme seller huts up

That’s the last time I saw the club remotely comment on it, and it’s from the last files accounts…

 

I suspect that with relegation and KPs reported issues that this will be quietly parked.

We’re one of the only clubs that has this thing about having the most vocal fans next to the away end

 

its not normal really, Forest, Derby and Cov are similarly obsessed weirdly

Off the top of my head, Arsenal, Birmingham City, Leeds and Sunderland(probably not as much now) too.
