First two are that bad this isn't even noticeable

I notice it all the time and they all put unnecessary pressure on us.

It is so noticeable when TV does a replay or goes to look at the managers (FFS) and by the time they come back to the play we're defending our goal from a throw in we had in their half.

I'm general we are that shite it just blends in to me. We really are shocking at present.

No way does Rodgers turn this around, I don't know what the answer is but it's been happening from the wolves match.

I really want 40points now and at this rate we will struggle.

Nobody bothers moving when we've got a throw in. It's so frustrating.

Lack of movement has been laughable for so long. This is one reason I was excited to see KDH get a start

We’ve been crap at our own throw ins for years and we don’t pressurise the opposition when they get them. Tbf this is one of those things that has blighted us for many seasons but certainly hasn’t improved under Rodgers. We should have a throw in coach IMO. Marginal gains….

Agree on both counts and have been saying it for years.

I made the point after I think it was the Burnley game that we can't even take a throw in.

Anyone wanna take umbridge with my comment Burnley are a more positive team that us now?

We're the most negative team in the league. Makes me laugh to see people so critical of other clubs in the Premier League thread :crylaugh:

Drives me mad how many times we have a throw in in the opposition's half & the ball ends up with Kasper

Everything we do the ball ends up with Kasper.

Throw ins are a somewhat overlooked and old fashioned direct side of the game these days I think : especially in the Prem. We need a Dave Challinor or Rory Delap equivalent in our team right now given our current lack of quality in this dept.!

Defending crosses in open play has also been terrible. Can think of 6 goals conceded from crosses this season where we've made it far too easy for them to either get the cross or gave them a free header pretty much unchallenged

I always think the man nearest to the ball should just pick the f***er up and throw it

Hate this p***** about for the fullback to run from the other side of the pitch only to give it straight back

Absolutely. It might even go back to 2nd season Ranieri. I def remember Danny Simpson chucking the ball straight to the opposition more than once.

I actually cheered when Patson took a quick one yesterday.

This! Our problems are even more wide ranging than just set pieces, we have all sorts of problems, from players being played where they are not comfortable, to players completely bereft of confidence and form, to some bizarre managerial decisions in game and out of game.  Also can we stop trying to make Ndidi into some expansive ball playing midfielder, and let him just be the world class defensive midfielder that we know he can be, that shields the defence!

Another thread that makes me think we need a refresh, fresh ideas and someone new coming in - if only to get back to doing the basics well. Too many players just seem to be coasting and going through the motions.

But then again, we don’t have issues scoring. So if we can just learn how to defend again, maybe we’re just a minor fix away.

I don’t know what to think anymore!

This does my nut all the time. A forward or centre back will pick it up and there's an obvious quick throw on to someone unmarked but they'll wait and give it to the full back.

In all phases of play we're ridiculous for slowing up and letting the opposition reset.

Our very own Fuchs was ace at thrown ins.

Yes, he was well up there in that regard and a shame he didn't hang around for a bit longer - with hindsight!
