Think it is a sleepwalk to relegation without a centre back coming in anyway, knew that on New Year’s Eve, had to bring in a cb and a rb and haven’t even managed to do those two, it is beyond awful

You'd hope we're working hard (I know) to get that replacement in, before giving the recall the green light.

So our squad in maxed out at 25, and we're 1 in, 1 out this window.

 

If Facundo is recalled, since he's under 21 he doesn't need to be registered, correct? So his replacement, if there is 1, would also need to be under 21.

 

Edit: I count 24, assuming all 4 keepers are registered, along with Ricardo.

Palace isn't taking EO back. 

 

Of course its a risk, but as it stands we are down, Facundo isn't keeping us up.

 

But a CB on loan who is a leader and can shore up the defence could, similar to the Huth move in 14/15.

 

It is a gamble but we have nothing to lose.

I really like FB, but if the manager isn't going to use him (which seems to be the case) then we might as well send him back and use the slot for a CB. If we don't get at least 1 CB, it is pointless playing the rest of the season.

we have 0% chance of getting a CB , no way we can do any of that btw

 

club would love another creative outlet by getting rid of FB,

we are screwed either way, we aint staying up anyway

Never felt so placid about a transfer deadline day. Guarantee we do nothing but make the squad worse. Maybe we bring a random player in from the continent but zero confidence they will add anything other than to make it look like we did anything.

 

Ruud, for all his failings, has been massively let down by those in charge. No surprise there but if I were him I'd go all in on them at next press conference.

Why are we assuming that the club is competent enough to sign a CB who is even average (an improvement on what we have now)?
