moore_94 Posted 7 April 2025 Posted 7 April 2025 Arsenal tracking Salford teenager Wright Latest from Sky Sports News' Lyall Thomas: Arsenal are tracking Salford starlet Will Wright's progress after he broke into the League Twoside's first team at just 16 years old. He is among a number of young players their academy recruitment staff are looking at ahead of the summer, having scored more than 40 goals for Salford’s youth team. Leicester and Birmingham City are also watching his situation. Wright made his debut in the Carabao Cup in December when he came on as a sub against Man City in the FA Cup and has made two league appearances. He has been on the bench for the last two games against Bromley and Barrow and is considered one of the best prospects at Salford.

So the plan is we absolutely mug Salford off giving them next to **** all compensation, he absolutely dominates the u19s or whatever for two years, gets nowhere near the first team and then signs his first professional contract for Arsenal and our fans have a meltdown about how unfair it all is? 2
TrickyTrevLeftPeg Posted 20 April 2025 Posted 20 April 2025 Terrible keeper. Can't claim a high ball and prone to mistakes. No for me 1
Focks Posted 20 April 2025 Posted 20 April 2025 As 2nd or 3rd choice next season? Can't see him wanting that 1

Popular Post Hales Posted 20 April 2025 Popular Post Posted 20 April 2025 Stol should be 1 if Mads goes 6
Corky Posted 21 April 2025 Posted 21 April 2025 We have a perfectly adequate back up keeper so naturally we would waste some of the little cash we'd have available on a new one who has just been dropped for being shit. 2
JimJams Posted 21 April 2025 Posted 21 April 2025 We've been quite unlucky this season with having our first 2 keepers out through injury. But it's not that often you need that much depth at GK. Would take an older head on a free and a yoot behind Stol if Mads does depart. If it goes tits up, so be it, but any money should be used to improve the first 11, and Miserly doesn't do that. 1

st albans fox Posted 21 April 2025 Posted 21 April 2025 Saw a tweet from Belgian journo stating that BEK has a reasonable release clause (presumably on relegation )

We are going to have to bring in a Keeper no matter what if Hermansen leaves, with Ward and Iversen leaving on a free. We probably need to being two in.

Mark Travers - Bournemouth (-6.9) 24. Danny Ward - Leicester (-5.5) Meslier is genuinely up there with the worst option we could possibly get. Edited 22 April 2025 by TheGoldenGod

Just start Stolarczyk and use a youth keeper as the bench option, any keeper coming to be second fiddle in the championship isn't worth the wages they would demand and Stolarczyk is too good to spend another season on the bench.

Because you can't go into the season with one senior keeper. 1
