There isn't really any accurate info out there on the contracts of our youth players other than Braybrooke who is the only one we definitely know has a long term contract because it was announced by the club

Only info on Nelson is when he was named amongst those who had signed their first professional deals in Feb 2022, which are usually 3 years

Nelson is the same age as Braybrooke (March 2004) and they're the stand out prospects from their cohort so it's likely they signed their first pro deals at about the same time.

Makes sense then that their contracts would be the same length. No announcement that Nelson has signed a long term deal. Braybrooke got injured so made sense for him to sign.

Maybe Nelson is holding out. Would explain why he's not gone back out on loan yet.

He'll have signed the standard 3 year deal in 2022. Braybrooke did the same and then extended that to 5 years in early 2023.

Don't agree. I believe the club tied them both in in 2021 so, Nelson's contract is up next summer.

Doesn't say when they signed though does it? Just sayin'...

He'd have had to have signed it best part of a year earlier for the 3 year deal to be up in the summer of 2024. I suppose we could of agreed to a 2 year deal but it would be odd for a player of his talent and at that point was very much being involved in matchday squads and on the cusp of possible 1st team appearances (mugged off by Rodgers).

It’s just a normal AirAsia a320 with a special livery. KP owned part of the Thai arm of AirAsia and we had a partnership and  the livery was done after we won the PL. Just hasn’t been into the paint shop since. Nothing to do with Top or King Power as they no longer have anything to do with the airline I believe.

So it’s yet another “Loan Deal” 😂😂

Yep. I believe it was getting on for a year before it was announced. And yep, to the Rodgers comment!

I am sure there were similar rumours of big 6 clubs interested in Nelson in and around the time he signed his last contract, let’s hope this is agent talk and we can get him signed up on a long term deal and either a decent loan or that Maresca see’s him as a potential 1st team squad member that can be used in Matchday squads regularly as cover and rotation for our 1st choice defenders.

The talk in the north west is that they'd like to 'do a Hamza' with THB - i.e. extend his contract by another year and loan him out this season.

Always find these odd from a players perspective. You could be a free agent in 12 months, get a bigger wage and have a pick of who you want to sign for.

I believe it's triggered by the club, not the player. The player agrees to the terms when he signs the initial contract.

Player also runs the risk of running down his contract, then having a major slump in form or injury, and then not being able to sign a contract, or sign one they deem suitable.

Even the slimmest hopes of the this happening (there weren’t any imo) are now completely dashed.

Yeah there's no chance we can afford to buy him.

I can see Brighton selling out some of the Caicedo cash on him.

I see him staying this season and struggling to make the standard pep needs and then selling him the following summer.

We've been linked with him every window since he first came about at Bristol City lol

He's good enough for a Prem squad so doubt he will be short of offers

Careful, Andros is still available.

🚨INFO: Leicester City are increasingly confident that they can get sales done for Daka and Soumare hence the greenlight for more signings. 🦊🔵💰

Harwood-Bellis permanent deal is being worked on but a loan with an option to buy is more likely. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿👀

I think getting Daka, Soumare and Castagne off the books would be a something that wouldn't be too bad. It also sounds like Ndidi is getting more attention.

We do need to offload to balance the books and to really start again
