Must be looking to replace Kasey, surprised though with us still having BDCR. Don’t think he plays in the “10” role at all?

He plays more as a 10 these days if he ever is fit enough

You’ve been talking about Stengs for 6 years or so…. Is now the worst time to sign him?

Revitalised his career but it's stagnated again with injuries.

I’ll be honest though, I do trust Glover given he’s not restricted. I’m not holding anything against him for last year I’m putting that all on Cooper.

This. And remember we missed out on a lot of targets because of their concerns over a points deduction, hence the likes of Skipp who was a Cooper signing (and he pushed for Odouard as well after we won the case).

Glover has suffered under the club’s deference to the manager rather than a particular style - only decent manager pre-Marti we had was Enzo since Glover’s arrival and he had a very good window. There was that one with Rodgers as well but he was in complete charge by that point although I think he deserves some criticism for Tete and Kristensen as likely he had a key role in those signings.

We’re at that stage now where we don’t have many guaranteed starters for most positions. It’s a chance for Glover to bring in some quality, and relatively on the cheap as well. There are so many options out there, if indeed, we are willing to spend some of the money from the sales that we’re making. Let’s judge him in a week or so, right now, it’s too early to side either way.

But even with the signings you say he deserves criticism for…. VK was classed as one of the hottest left back prospects and we was all very happy with his signing. Then with Tete on paper it felt like we struck gold, he’s just the typical case of not adapting to English football and his confidence has been shot since.

Some chat with Morgan Rodgers to spurs

if so, that could allow villa to look at fats (especially as Leon Bailey has gone on loan)

No chance that happens surely?  He's a regular starter and would probably be quite coveted.  They sold Ramsey for £40mill, so Rogers is going to be north of£70mill given his relative importance to the team.  Spurs aren't paying whatever it takes in my opinion.

I’m amazed that they’re in such bad shape considering what they sold dhuran for in January

but apparently they need sales.  Reckon spurs would spend 60/65 on Rodgers

They have done exactly what we did

Wages to turnover is something like 95%

Shearer and Richards on MOTD both came out and said PSR is broken and stifling ambition and gave Villa as an example.

Obviously Shearer has skin in the game with Newcastle but the more people call out this bullsh1t system the better.

As I've bored on about several times. If businesses want to gamble financially to achieve success and push up long term revenue opportunities it's for them to decide, and deal with the repercussions if that strategy fails. Villa aren't going bust.

League organisations should keep well out of it. They do next to feck all when things are really going t1ts up as with Wednesday.  Bad owners can destroy a club regardless of spending or PSR restrictions.

Good post!!

FFP/PSR was only bought in to protect the top six clubs. The EPL don’t want clubs below them to have any success .That’s why the red cartel didn’t want Man City winning anything. So they made up all these false charges against them .

Yes it’s like we never existed back in 16 to 19 unsettling all the big boys and we have been over a barrel due to the financial penalties and restrictions all which date back to when we won things - it’s a travesty and yes I know management since has been shocking but still …..poor ol Villa and Newcastle
