Josh Brownhill is a free agent. Wages could be a problem maybe, but he fits the bill as a proven box to box scoring midfielder.

Free agent but his s/o fee when added to his wages means he wants 100k/week for four years

so effectively an £8m fee (assuming 60k salary)

I'm highly doubtful of these numbers

You have to imagine its because of high wage demands he hasn't signed anywhere. As a free transfer he should be a decent low risk addition to most squads in the bottom half of the prem, top half of the championship.

People keep mentioning Brownhill, not a chance we are giving him the wages he wants when we are shedding high earners.

Not a chance he comes here. If he does, I'll go to City Ground Nottingham, home game, in a Derby shirt. Not happening

Personally I think Brownhill will end up at a low end premier league team that panics after a poor start to the season. Would not be shocked in the slightest to see him at any of Brentford, West Ham, Wolves or even back to Burnley.

If they’re not close to true then he needs a new agent

a). He’s worth 60k/week

b)  he’s worth a £12m transfer fee

Not if he's staying in the championship he's not.

No point considering Brownhill, he's been without a club all summer and would take ages to be match fit.

Behave man!

Would take him two passes and a throw in to look better than our current midfield

Offer him more than anyone else and he will sign.

No reason to offer a s/o fee or 60k a week if he’s not receiving other offers.

Brownhill would be another expensive short term fix with no sell on value. We need to stop making signings like this, even if they would be an upgrade in the immediate future. He has never been an effective player at PL level and,  if that's where we aspire to be, we need to start signing players with potential to be successful there, even if they're not the finished article now.

How are we not all over this!?

I’d imagine a lot of clubs are interested but going there indicates he wants to go back home.

We’ve been burnt by way too many players who look good until they come here over the hill.
