We were linked with him under Enzo before going for Fatawu. He’d be good squad depth for that position, but what about Jake Evans and Bobby Reid?

On a loan though he’d improve any squad in this division and has a high ceiling.

My thoughts exactly,  how much did he start for Blades? Was a sub a lot. Rather develop our own young talent unless he's ready to challenge Abdul, but is he?

I just don't see it, we need incomings in most places but not on the wings.

Iheanacho training down at St Margaret’s yesterday 👀

This would be perfect, another striker that doesn't score goals.

I don't think he played the role well under Enzo and no real difference to Ayew who effectively was the Nacho replacement anyway.

This is his level though so not against a loan if there's another striker lined up as well.

I popped this in the former players thread. Wild. Must still have his house here. A bit mad that when you get shunned by european clubs you basically don't even go into training lol

to quote page in the same breath as dowman and ngumoha is as you quote talking absolute shite

with regards to alves, he unfortunately is not up to it else he be given more game time.

A lot of the happy clappers seem to be pinning all our future hopes on these youngsters which is a) unfair and b) way too optimistic

2 years ago we were talking about the leicester iniesta, (sammy braybrooke) and he far from first XI currently.

All because there home grown doesnt make them saviours

Just a thought. It's worth noting that sadly, both Alves and Braybrooke suffered horrendous injuries in that time that massively hindered their progress. They were both hyped with some justification, however serious injury at such a young age has probably robbed them of some of their ability. Sad situation, that.

Totally agree with you ref them two.

Sammy was very highly regarded. His spell at Dundee wasnt a great success and its a suprise and shame not to see him in any action at all really.

Although small he is a very tidy CDM or at least he was before his injury.

Did he not captain England at some age group level aswell?
