If he doesn’t put that shift in a) he’s got no hope of France’s World Cup squad. b) he ain’t going to a top club any time soon. It's in his interest to stay, get his little head down and put it in for daddy. (Unless they offer us £85m+) . 2
Jakemoore Posted 23 August 2022 Posted 23 August 2022 I’d phone them and tell them if they’re next bid doesn’t start with an 8 then not to even bother making it. ****ing hope we turn them over on Saturday. 1

Cropwellfox Posted 23 August 2022 Posted 23 August 2022 Bizarre how they got to the price brighton would accept for Cucurella pretty quick yet we’ve had 3 weeks of this now. Really do hope club have got a replacement all but ready to sign as this could well go into next week, and Fofana could step up his frustration if he felt the last bid was acceptable.
An Sionnach Posted 23 August 2022 Posted 23 August 2022 I still think they will turn their attention to a cheaper option and maybe Maguire's time at Utd. is over. £40 million would be enough for Harry.
Jimothy Posted 23 August 2022 Posted 23 August 2022 Chelsea happy to stick £20m extra on their Gordon bid, but come back with an almost identical offer to the last one for Fofana. Weird club
Hammo Posted 23 August 2022 Posted 23 August 2022 Who is running Chelsea? Del Boy? Absolutely risible bid. We’ll done LCFC for giving it the short shrift it deserves. 2

So you are looking at only getting 60m No wonder we have rejected. Probably decided they are not going to buy him for £80M+ but thought they'd chuck in a few more low ball bids to continue to unsettle Fofana for Saturday! Expect £65M + £10M add ons next! MPH Posted 23 August 2022 Posted 23 August 2022 Pleased with the resolve of our owners. I love the fact they are not intimidated by bigger clubs and the media pressure they put on ‘ smaller’ clubs. We must be a pain to try and buy a player from 1

Popular Post CosbehFox Posted 23 August 2022 Popular Post Posted 23 August 2022 I give us some credit for not being bullied and standing our ground. 9
st albans fox Posted 23 August 2022 Posted 23 August 2022 Looks like they’ve probably only changed the bid to be all the guaranteed money up front and the add ons remain the add ons they must have received an indication from somewhere that this was worth doing Madness and fofana’s people are angry that we didn’t accept the previous bid - I mean how crap must that have been in structure ! I think we should call Chelsea out on this and tell them the player is for sale at £100m. Either make your bid by Thursday or eff off and tell fofana that if they really valued him then they wouldn’t be fooking about like they are - he should be insulted by their attitude - the reality is that whatever they get away with below £80m will probably end up in his pocket ……

I like both of those players but Wes is in a different class.
Popular Post ramadaone Posted 23 August 2022 Popular Post Posted 23 August 2022 Not really relevant but Chelsea would have bough Fofana in the next window if we hadn’t have signed him already as he was firmly on their radar He wasn’t in our top 5 targets that window but other deals fell by the wayside so he was signed. He was only lower down the list due to price rather than ability but in the end our hand was forced as he became available when others didn’t Sometimes you just get lucky I suppose 8 1
st albans fox Posted 23 August 2022 Posted 23 August 2022 Can’t see why we are patting the club on the back for rejecting that bid it’s an insult based on what we’ve been told is the stance of the club they had no option but to knock it back swiftly lets pat them on the back when they tell Chelsea to do one for taking the piss

An Sionnach Posted 23 August 2022 Posted 23 August 2022 One thing that occurred to me is have we fully paid for Fofana yet? That may mean we are compelled to pay any money owed + sell on percentage if he is transferred.
Popular Post dannythefox Posted 23 August 2022 Popular Post Posted 23 August 2022 63 Cucurella 65 for Gordan and they want to pay 70 odd for Fofona 😂 3 2 1
turlo Posted 23 August 2022 Posted 23 August 2022 someone at the club needs to wipe their arse on that bid and send it back. 1

Our position is been outright from the beginning. It's only when Rodgers opens his trap to waste three minutes in his pre-match conferences, it becomes a thing again.
