I'm feeling slightly more confident now that Ricardo's back and he showed us in the WHU match what we've been missing.

Whisper it, but even Vestergaard looked decent last night. Granted the opposition were poor but it seems that he's not been fit since arriving so might do a job if Cags is unavailable.

Not expecting an exciting match but I don't think we should be downbeat. I think we have enough for a point.

Any idea if Ricardo & Thomas are definitely fit for this?

If so

                     Kasper

Ricardo Soyuncu Vestegaard Thomas

                      Ndidi

             Tielemas  KDH

                   Maddison

          Iheanacho  Barnes

I always look forwards to our games as we're usually quite evenly matched. It'd be nice to get a result against you for once, and maybe we're due a bit of VAR luck for a change.

Lage has been playing 3-5-2 the last couple of games with Dendoncker coming into the centre recently because of a small injury to Moutinho who should hopefully be back for this. Podence and Jimenez have been the front two with the former dropping off.

Our likely XI:

Sa

Kilman - Coady - Saiss

Semedo - Moutinho - Dendoncker - Neves - Ait-Nouri

Jimenez - Podence

If Soyuncu is out, I'd prefer Ndidi to drop back in alongside Amartey. They did very well against Liverpool and are more used to playing alongside one another so I'd rather take the more tried and tested approach. KDH, Tielemans, and Maddison in the deeper midfield roles, with Barnes, Daka and Lookman up top to exploit the space in the channels when the wingbacks go forward.

I agree with the calls to go an attack them. Wolves have been impressive under Lage and will take some breaking down. I really don't want to see a game where we create next to nothing against a well drilled side, and we end up losing 2-0 or 2-1 in a drab game. Feeling slightly more positive after the second half showing vs West Ham and being 4 goals to the good last night.

Feels like the season's first real must win game.  If Brendan was serious about believing we could still finish in the European places, then 3 points for us and 0 points for them this weekend is a must.

Can't see it personally, but keeping my fingers crossed.

Sounds about right, I reckon we'll have one overturned by VAR as well

You just know that we'll have one VAR'd for going in off the arm.

Or one like this against Man City which was given as a penalty by both the ref and VAR.

But it was against one of the dirty ESL6 so it's within the rules.

....isn't Soyuncu injured...!!!

Are we looking for Amartey and Vestergaard to be in the backline or Hamza coming in to play in the back line. We are going to have to play with two upfront or a front three.

We’re very much the ones who have had the VAR calls go our way in this fixture! Boly handball at the KP and then a heel offside from a corner which they scored from at there gaff …. Long may that continue on Sunday!!!

Our attack and their defence would make for a cracking team.

A Wolves fan I work with occasionally has literally said this to me. Said take our front five/their back five plus either keeper, we’d be top 4
