Apparently has clear the air talks with BR and a truce has been called.

Let's see what happens. If he starts getting games it may not be the end of his time here.

Nothing is off the table.

WOW! I think we'd all be happier with Faes and Soy as our CB partnership, at least until Evans is fit.

So no move to Atletico?

I'd be SO chuffed if he signed a new deal and everyone could stop playing silly buggers. I just can't see it though, too much water etc.

We are better with him in the team. Don’t care if he’s prone to a mistake or 2,he’s better then Danny and I like Danny

He’s only better if he’s committed and concentrated.  It’s been a long time since we saw that particular cags …..

He is the best central defender at the club, Faes may in time be better than him but I'd be delighted if he signed a new deal.

Soyuncu could save us from relegation. Would love to see him back in the team.

Agreed on both counts.

I just hope that IF he does make a mistake, he's not hung out to dry again and alienated out.

If they've held clear the air talks, then I see that as a positive.

Great news if so. If he's had clear the air talks with rodgers one must assume that's in return for game time and looking at our defence imo he should play at left cb with faes at right cb replacing amartey.

What was the reason for clear the air talks being required though?

I get Cags hasn’t played much recently but is this based on more than just poor form?

Been suggested they fell out over BR's comments that called him out, for example over the Tottenham game. Also, he's reportedly annoyed that Ndidi has been played ahead of him, even though Ndidi is not a specialist CB. Might have explained the comments about Soy not working hard enough in training if he was demotivated.

The 2 fell out somewhere along the way. Rumour I believe was at the spurs match last year when Brendan called him out for pulling out of a challenge. Brendan then called out Cags wasn’t putting effort in training. Potentially the issue has been personal.

Yup. Danny is a backup at this level

Pretty confident that rodgers wouldn’t have tried to make peace with cags unless it suits him. He knows that keeping cags means he doesn’t have to spend on a CB replacement for him.  He froze him out for six months when the squad needed him motivated and playing well.

...the sign of a mature and motivating manager

A Soyuncu Faes partnership could be magical.

Don't get me wrong I'm expecting the occasional horror show where they look awful, but then the odd time it all clicks and they just take the absolute piss.

BINGO!

Rodgers is an opportunist.  Like the blair of football. (not on a personal level of course, rodgers isnt responsible for the murder of millions of innocent people world wide
