taupe Posted 9 January 2023 Posted 9 January 2023 I'd be SO chuffed if he signed a new deal and everyone could stop playing silly buggers. I just can't see it though, too much water etc. 1

coolhandfox Posted 9 January 2023 Posted 9 January 2023 So basically AM will not cough up to have him early so he's here to the summer. So we have to make the best of it. 3
Popular Post Ric Flair Posted 9 January 2023 Popular Post Posted 9 January 2023 He is the best central defender at the club, Faes may in time be better than him but I'd be delighted if he signed a new deal. 21
Popular Post Shane Posted 9 January 2023 Popular Post Posted 9 January 2023 Soyuncu could save us from relegation. Would love to see him back in the team. 7

If they've held clear the air talks, then I see that as a positive. 3
JimJams Posted 9 January 2023 Posted 9 January 2023 Taken a while for "Clear the air talks", was there a mustard gas fog preventing them being big boys? 1
Dahnsouff Posted 9 January 2023 Posted 9 January 2023 Great news, but many questions remain for both parties.
UHDrive Posted 9 January 2023 Posted 9 January 2023 Great news if so. If he's had clear the air talks with rodgers one must assume that's in return for game time and looking at our defence imo he should play at left cb with faes at right cb replacing amartey.
Lambert09 Posted 9 January 2023 Posted 9 January 2023 given the timing, perhaps this means 3 at the back vs newcastle. 2 1
Stevosevic Posted 9 January 2023 Posted 9 January 2023 What was the reason for clear the air talks being required though? I get Cags hasn’t played much recently but is this based on more than just poor form?

Also, he's reportedly annoyed that Ndidi has been played ahead of him, even though Ndidi is not a specialist CB. Might have explained the comments about Soy not working hard enough in training if he was demotivated. 1

Rumour I believe was at the spurs match last year when Brendan called him out for pulling out of a challenge. Brendan then called out Cags wasn’t putting effort in training. Potentially the issue has been personal. 1

Weller Wing Posted 9 January 2023 Posted 9 January 2023 Be great if we could keep him as I still think he's very decent. Be very difficult to replace such a well hung player as I've heard Souttar has an acorn. 1
coolhandfox Posted 9 January 2023 Posted 9 January 2023 Unless he signs a new contract it means little.
Popular Post st albans fox Posted 9 January 2023 Popular Post Posted 9 January 2023 Pretty confident that rodgers wouldn’t have tried to make peace with cags unless it suits him. He knows that keeping cags means he doesn’t have to spend on a CB replacement for him. He froze him out for six months when the squad needed him motivated and playing well. 7

LVFox Posted 9 January 2023 Posted 9 January 2023 A Soyuncu Faes partnership could be magical. Don't get me wrong I'm expecting the occasional horror show where they look awful, but then the odd time it all clicks and they just take the absolute piss. 3

Rodgers is an opportunist. Like the blair of football. (not on a personal level of course, rodgers isnt responsible for the murder of millions of innocent people world wide Edited 9 January 2023 by NasPb 2
