He should, and will. I wonder if he'll wait until retirement.

Wonder who he'll choose it to be against? Sheffield Wednesday most likely?

Did they have something lined up for King?

No I don’t think they ever did

I always liked King but wasn’t fussed we didn’t give him a testimonial. Vardy on the other hand…

Is it just that we haven’t had anyone with us for long enough, or are testimonials not longer a ‘thing’ at EPL level? Maybe players that have earned £200k a week no longer feel the need for a few bob from a testimonial ?? 🤷

They didn't give one to King or Schmeichel either. Can't see them doing one with Vardy at the end of this season either. Feels like testimonials aren't really a thing in this day and age.

Testimonials came from an era when players didn't earn much, it was like a retirement bonus for their bank account.

Which is why they have died off players don't need it.

it could be made  a charitable event. Proceeds go to help Ukranian refugees, the Vichai foundation… anything really

Yeah, I wasn’t thinking about Vardys bank balance regarding a testimonial 😂 I’m sure that’ll be fine on its own

But would be class to make a bit of a fuss of him for a game. Raising money for a charity would be excellent too

and for such a worthy cause as for the crisis in Ukraine, Vardy would come out of it smelling like roses. His farts would too.

Would be fun though. Current Leicester side vs former Leicester and England players who Vardy played with.

Would be great to back the likes of Fuchs, Huth, King, Simpson, Nugent and Dyer to play in the opposition.

Could triple it up, feel like King deserved a send off, get him in with Kasper raise a load of money for a charity of choosing, be a great day out.

Vichai foundation….
