Is it just that we haven’t had anyone with us for long enough, or are testimonials not longer a ‘thing’ at EPL level? Maybe players that have earned £200k a week no longer feel the need for a few bob from a testimonial ?? 🤷

Nothing to do with money and plenty of examples of recent testimonials.

Gerrard and Carragher both got testimonials at Liverpool. Carrick had one at Man Utd too.

IMO three statues need making. Vardy with his goal celebration when he broke the record, Morgan lifting the premier league and Schmeichel lifting the FA Cup

Stick Vardys right on the corner in front of the away ends entrance

I thought testimonials made more sense once the player in question had called time on his career. vardy is not finished yet atleast not in his mind but his body is starting to get ready for retirement

There is a mural of him in the city already.

He should, and will. I wonder if he'll wait until retirement.

Wonder who he'll choose it to be against? Sheffield Wednesday most likely?

Maybe a Vardy 11 v the title winners

Maybe turn it into a flag instead that can be a permanent fixture at the back of SK1

Just went back to the article when it was announced that King was leaving and it says:

“The Club intends to give supporters an opportunity to thank Andy for his contribution when it is safe and possible to do so, hosting an event befitting his 16 years of service. It will also be Andy’s chance to thank the Leicester City faithful for their support during a memorable Foxes career.”

Come on then, LCFC…

If he goes for a charity testimonial and picks the right charitable cause, he could get real worldies on both sides..
