Tanya Posted 22 April 2022 Posted 22 April 2022 Would take him for sure. Not sure we could afford his wages, though? If I were him I'd bin off Spurs considering the way they froze him out.

The wages he is on currently aren’t high enough to the break the wage structure at Brentford so I don’t think that would be much of an issue I imagine any issue would be around the length of of the contract really 1
Jaspa Posted 22 April 2022 Posted 22 April 2022 We wanted him before when he was struggling mid-season with Inter. Danish friend quota getting quite large now ... what's that balding young Danish winger who looks abit like Michael Owen and plays in Italy up to these days? Could do with a new nationality clique if the Belgian boys are off.
Dan Posted 22 April 2022 Posted 22 April 2022 I'd really like him here as he's obviously absolutely quality. Cannot see us beating Conte and Spurs to him though. 1

Stadt Posted 22 April 2022 Posted 22 April 2022 It'd be a silly signing, great player but where does he fit? Plays in Maddison's position and doesn't have the legs to slot in anywhere else.

Finnegan Posted 22 April 2022 Posted 22 April 2022 He'd be fvcking insane to go to Spurs under Conte. He did not fit in Conte system at all.

Our forward players are quite passive these days so we can't

Didn't he do well under Conte in the 2nd half of 20/21 season when they were at Inter Milan? I think it would be a great signing, we need more experience in our team. The naivety of the team, especially when Vardy, Evans, Fofana and KDH aren't playing, is all too clear. Edited 22 April 2022 by lcfc_forever 1
AKCJ Posted 22 April 2022 Posted 22 April 2022 If we don't win the UECL then i'd say we've got no chance. Not really sure where he plays in a team with Maddison and KDH either.
Scotch Posted 22 April 2022 Posted 22 April 2022 I don't get the "where would he fit in" argument. Maddison can't stay fit for an entire season, we've saw that for ourselves and I doubt Ericsson would give us a full season fit either... Also, Maddison has said previously that he likes the #8 role so if he was to replace Youri and Ericsson take his #10... 2

My guess is he would want another 2 million to drag him away from London. Edited 22 April 2022 by An Sionnach

Would very much like to see the formation as you describe to see how he could operate in that role.
StanSP Posted 22 April 2022 Posted 22 April 2022 Yeah will take him. Think he'll be a great addition.
