Lots of possession but lacking a cutting edge. Not sure playing your most creative offensive player and one of your major goal threats out wide on the right is particularly smart.

Brendan will want to save his Roma assets.

...Nacho, Amartey and possibly Perez on for Maddison Fofana and KDH. I cant see us winning this game, they probably will - we just haven't got the commitment or energy in the second half these days...

So frustrating that every time we get a throw in or free kick in the first two thirds of the pitch is just an opportunity to pass back between the centre backs again.

We didn’t do too badly in that first half. Just need to up a gear and be a tidier and more clinical in the final third. Plus a bit of luck as the ball not falling out way. I thought Maddison had scored then. I’m in two minds about Vardy coming on. I just hope he really is fit and we are not taking a risk to rush him back. If he gets half an hour or so unscathed then that would bode well for Thursday.

Our players probably love this style of football. All it requires is the bare minimum! Play simple sideways and backwards, don’t take risks, don’t bust a gut to run into space, don’t do anything out of the ordinary, just keep those possession stats high. It’s easy street for them, every single game.

I think we concede so many late goals because the players get bored of doing what they've been told after an hour or so. 

 

Trying to sell 42k seats after the expansion to watch this is going to be a very tough ask.

Brendan is so safe and negative, trouble is we are a grenade with the pin out sometimes in defence especially those last few minutes. 

It's going to take something magical or a fluke from us to score. They are worse than us, but we've always got that rick in us as gift to them.
