Fair to say we have an absolutely huge game coming up this week, and a great atmosphere really can make all the difference in a game like this. So what is it that makes a great atmosphere? What is the best atmosphere you can remember at Leicester home game, either the KP or Filbert Street? Can we replicate it on Thursday?

For me I remember thousands of blue and white balloons at Filbert Street, ripped up copies of the Sporting Green - much better when this became the Sporting Blue all being released as the players came out of the tunnel.
During the warm-up in the old Kop singing every players name.

Sunderland in the league cup semi final sticks in my memory as a great atmosphere and a game where we willed the lads to Wembley, all of the play-off semis over the years, Cambridge was amazing. Wasn’t there for any of the Champions League games, but those who were say they were some of the best nights at the KP.
What was your favourite?

Slightly ancient ! City vs Man City in fifth round F A Cup at Filbert Street 1968.  Man City champions that season, Malcolm Allison the celebrity manager walking around the pitch prior to the game denoting with Five fingers how many goals they would score and then Man City going two up in the first twenty minutes. Rodney Fern scoring a cracking goal just before half time and we outplayed them in the second half to win 4 -3. Night match with 39000 in the ground fabulous atmosphere and probably my favourite game that I have attended. ( not at the Cup Final win or the Premier trophy award against Everton which were terrific )

Great thread.

Tranmere playoffs 94.

Iwan hatrick game.

Madrid 97.

First win in prem against spurs 94.

Arsenal walshy 3-3

When we beat derby 4-0 (?) With Nugent running wild was a good evening.

As others have said the whole title / champs league hotspots was just brilliant.

Like many have said, Man Utd 5-3 and the Sevilla game are the two that really stand out for me.

I felt physically sick towards the end of that Man Utd game, head was pounding from the noise! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I was pretty young at the time but two that stick out to me bar the obvious being the seasons we won the league and CL etc.

The man city cup game when Sol Bamba made his debut? and the Fulham game in the cup, I think we won 4-3 if I remember correctly.

By no means the best all round atmosphere per se but Leeds at home league 1 season, Howard’s header, bout took the roof off.

Spurs 3-2 in the cup in 2006 - De Vries winner. My earliest memory of a properly rocking ground that was.

Obviously not the best there’s been overall though.

Well, then you wouldn't know how incredible the atmosphere was that day.

West Ham 2015. We were marooned at the bottom of the table and before we’d even kicked off I knew we would win. Arguably the most iconic Leicester match of all time for me, if we hadn’t won that who knows what would have happened.

It’s easy to be enthusiastic when you can’t stop winning but I was proud to support us that day, it was very much a ‘12th man’ atmosphere.

The Sevilla one is the only one for me that comes a bit closer to what you experience in other stadiums in Europe. As a foreigner living in UK I'm obviously not impressed by the chants, noise etc but everything is more family (children) friendly so I'm not bothered that much.

Loved the whistles every time Sevilla or Atletico had the ball at our ground. One of the few times we made our ground an intimidating place to come to.

Need this on Thursday. Every time they have the ball, whistles everywhere. We have it in us.

The Atletico game at filbert street stands out as one of the loudest along with the last 15 min of the arsenal 3-3.

At the KP probably the mark de vries Tottenham game as non prem winning / europe game seeing as though how crap we were at the time it was fantastic

Fans sitting on the dirt track,Frannie Lee looking magic, a playing to the crowd,

The atmosphere was stupendous & chaotic before kick off, then just grew like the perfect storm..When our last goals went in Police,Stewards & fans alike just went crazy..That was & stayed way above any Atmosphere experienced at Filbert street,

With tears in my eyes I couldn’t, get back for title celebrations, Everton & the parade,I assume they took over that Man.City Game..
