Don't really see the need for all these different threads.

They are all basically the same moaning how crap we are.

We all know we have not had a great season but at least merge all these threads that have the answers to our problems  together.

We have a soft underbelly, seems like every game we playing we are to slow with the ball and then get out muscled by opposition players be it in The EPL, Europa Cup or the latter games on the Conference league cup.

In our Title winning season we had strong players like Huth and clever ones like Fuchs, others like Ulloa scoring goals when we needed them and we were rolling other players/teams over and now we look like boys playing against men.

What's the solution?

Maybe LCFC need to pop some of these in their Lucozade Sports before each game??😉

Yep.  I generalised.  But our squad isnt man city's. They arent posession obsessed.

It won't happen with Rodgers in charge unfortunately. He's been banging on about a lack of aggression the entire time he's been here and yet it's still our single biggest weakness.

He's now claiming that he can't make non-aggressive players into aggressive players, which is of course nonsense as that is quite literally his job. Even so, he's had plenty of transfer windows to bring in aggressive players and yet instead he decided to go with the likes of Soumare, Vestergaard, Castagne etc.

He wants aggression, but not at the expense of control. Add to the mix his general demeanour and man management style and I just don't see how he can rebuild this team to be an aggressive one.

Yeah, fair enough and I picked an outlier in Man City really, so my bad!

Or strategic fouling as they take in turns to pick up yellow cards for opposition stopping attacks, same with Liverpool.

Brendan keeps saying this, and I see what he means, but its not the main issue. We need to be more creative and forward facing out of midfield, we need to take chances rather than seeking free kicks, we need to stop knackering ourselves out playing a possession based game that doesn't translate into chances on goal, our positioning needs to be better (especially up-front), and we need to defend corners better.

Aggression is important, I know, but for me the common thread is that we need more creativity.

We need to stop falling over looking for free kicks which seems to be our main offensive strategy

It's become part of the game, unfortunately.

The sooner refs start carding more players, the better.

We need to be adaptable based on in game play. You could see after 5 mins from the Roma game the challenge that faced us. The referee was not going to give us any favourable treatment. The captain/experienced players needs to be stronger and more vocal to the referee. In addition Brendan should make the necessary changes in game.

I found Rodgers' comments regarding aggression at set pieces frankly insulting.

A lot of the set piece goals we concede are due to a braindead set-up i.e. mismatches when marking (Ricardo v Abraham), or crap positioning (whether that's zonal or man to man marking). Of course a percentage are down to the opposition wanting it more, but it would be bloody marvellous if, just once, Rodgers would take liability and say we set up wrong and that's down as us as coaching staff. Ooh look, there's a pig flying by!
