Hamilton Fox Posted 8 October 2022 Posted 8 October 2022 The problem ward also has is he has absolutely no authority, he should have been slating that defence for that first goal. You don’t see him organising the defence or anything that’s before his alround shit keeping as well
Fazzer 7 Posted 8 October 2022 Posted 8 October 2022 Dogshit of a keeper always has been always will be.
UHDrive Posted 8 October 2022 Posted 8 October 2022 Wardy made one mediocre save on the floor and even then he looked nervous
CrazyKopCorner Posted 8 October 2022 Posted 8 October 2022 Definitely has the air of Zieler about him. Not 100% but their first goal looked soft
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 October 2022 Posted 8 October 2022 He had a crap game today but at least Greggs released the news some outlets will be open late so swings and roundabouts for our Danny 2

ARTY_FOX Posted 8 October 2022 Posted 8 October 2022 Bafflingly bad. I dont understand how he's managed to be employed as a goalkeeper at any point of his life
funkyrobot Posted 8 October 2022 Posted 8 October 2022 Unconvincing for both goals. We won’t consistently improve until Ward gets dropped. He’s not the only problem but he’s an easy fix. Was nervy on Monday and got away with it. Today not so lucky 1
Tielemans63 Posted 8 October 2022 Posted 8 October 2022 "Not at fault for either goal" Unless you count this demented star jump... 3

Every goalkeeper is taught to do exactly that in that situation - you make yourself as big as possible to narrow the angle at close range. What do you expect him to do there?
Le Renard Posted 8 October 2022 Posted 8 October 2022 He needs to be put in the bargain basement bin toute de suite.

pedmcl Posted 8 October 2022 Posted 8 October 2022 Overall I thought he commanded his area better today and looked more confident. He did well to get his hand to Billing’s first goal - ashame it wasn’t a stronger palm but it was a strong strike from close range. The defending before it got to him on both goals is more concerning. Let’s not scape goat him for today - he was far from one of the issues. JJ, Evans and Faes were all more at fault - and when is Rodgers going to learn that Amartey isn’t good enough?! 1

lcfcell Posted 8 October 2022 Posted 8 October 2022 if i was Iversen id put in a transfer request and refuse to play if by some miracle he does pick him.

Oh yeah, I’m not blaming Amartey specifically for the goals, but we just seem to be extremely nervous at the back when he’s on the pitch. I can’t help but think that his lack of composure rubs off on those around him. From what I’ve heard he’s a nice and honest bloke, just not a good enough player at this level.
Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 8 October 2022 Posted 8 October 2022 I feel sorry for Ward. He needs to be replaced. This must be absolutely wrecking his already fragile confidence.

If I was nitpicking, he was oddly passive for that 3rd goal (disallowed) just let it drift across the box. I said it pre match though, for him.to go, we either have to sack Rodgers or haemorrhage points. Both ways mean hemorrhaging points so the prognosis for the club is poor. 1
MPH Posted 8 October 2022 Posted 8 October 2022 Unfortunately the biggest mistake we have made is feeling like we didn’t need to replace Kasper. A classic case of a businessman trying to make footballing decisions. put him in a confident team doing well then the pressure is off and he has the time and space to grow into the role but put him into a doggo team with an awful defense in front of him then the pressure is immense and He’s stood no chance. Looks like a rabbit caught in headlights half the time 1
