It's weird though. Normally I would say that the table never lies, but this season I really think it has! We've really been poor this season and I feel like it's only because of others being bad that we've not finished lower down. The fall off between this season and last has been vast and it's not just the performances, but the capitulations.

 

I suppose the good thing is that unlike many teams in the division, we have real quality in our team. I would actually go as far as saying we have more quality than Arsenal in terms of match winners. We are just wildly inconsistent and mentally week. The mental part is the weird thing because we won the frigging FA Cup which required us to see out games in tough situations.

I think it’s been more the mentality of this forum that has made it appear that way. The table doesn’t lie, we haven’t been poor just depleted and stretched from 2 European competitions.
