Good move for Hamza if it happens. Bruce has been a longtime admirer, wanting him at Newcastle when he was there. That's what he needs in his career, a manager who rates him and wants to play him.

...it is what he needs, but what are the chances that Bruce will be there at the end of the season!!!

These managers just keep on picking up jobs over and over and clubs just going on a name.

They need to be looking at up and coming managers, at lower leagues, or even from across the border, playing safe could cost them.

Good luck to Hamza.

Sadly not good enough for where we want to go and on silly money for a bit part squad player.

I hope he does well wherever he goes though.

Silly or not , Hamza will not be giving up one brass farthing in any possible move. So as with Dennis , we will be paying a big chunk of his pay for no obvious return.

Agreed but luckily with Hamza this time next year his wage won’t be our concern.

Fair to say he won’t get a contract extension on £80,000 or whatever silly money he’s on - his agent played a blinder on that one.

That’s when he was the next big thing and Barca wanted him ……. Apparently.

This is probably the most bizarre link/rumour you'll see here but I was speaking to Leon Osman for a good while yesterday who suggested Everton were close to signing a midfield player from Leicester. He later hinted pretty heavily it was Hamza Choudhry; but we were both drunk; so please just make of it what you will. He's also a pretty good dancer. Alan Pardew isn't (but thinks he is) but does have very expensive shoes.

I trust this is of some use.

Salsa or club dancing? I hope you asked for clarification.

I can't actually remember what the music was other than that Mr Brightside and Sex on Fire both played; so that sort of vibe. I know this only because both ended up with a number of us in a heap on the floor (I don't think any minor celebrities were involved in this silliness/lack of balance).

My suit might never be the same again though; and that's £89.99 I'm never getting back.

He'll go to a champ club on loan, do fantastically, and go to a club on free who eventually sell him for £10m+

We'd still get a fee for him via tribunal. Just realised he's nearly 25, ignore me.

Just get him sold, loan should be a last resort.

I'm still a young lad and I'm 49.

Surely there must be a Premiership taker for HC?

There would be if they could afford his pay. There might be a deal to be done if we pay up his contract..That would cost us about £6 million but we could get £10 million for him. However he may not have given up hope of forcing himself into the team , somebody should ask him.

Hamza has never really been a starter for us.  Surely he's not on big wages in PL terms?  My guess would be 35-40k

I've honestly seen nothing from him to suggest he's a premier league player.  Why would prem clubs be interested for 10mill? What's he done?

We couldn't push him onto a dire Newcastle side destined for relegation before their fortunes changed.

I don't think he's ever let us down and made 20 appearances in 19/20 when we finished 5th.  He can be reckless but I think he would be an asset for any promoted side or lower PL team.

Genuinely believe we need to just cut our losses with Hamza and a few others.

Rodgers has said he prefers operating with a smaller squad, he is on massive wages in terms of reflection of importance to our squad.

Is Brunt not just as good but on a 5th of his wages??
