st albans fox Posted 21 May Posted 21 May He’s paid to make big calls we’ll find out next month if he’s made a pigs ear of it he’ll have a very good first 11 but not sure about the defensive depth.

Dan Posted 22 May Posted 22 May I'll wait and see with Tuchel. It's not what I'd have gone for but I backed the appointment thinking you have somebody here who has at least got a track record of success. Albeit he's got a stinker in him as well. Can't help but think we're playing a dangerous game with left backs again. Was a complete farce in the Euros having Trippier on the left creating a bottleneck in build up and you could see similar happening. It's mental how Palmer's not got in. I'm not even saying I disagree with it but imagine if after the Euros somebody told you a fully fit Palmer wouldn't go. 2

But also he's been in a farmer's league for 2 years nearly. In a hot country, will be very fresh compared to the rest of the players.
Jon the Hat Posted 22 May Posted 22 May 6 hours ago, RowlattsFox said: You do have to factor in characters when it comes to picking players who might not play much. Tuchel has said plenty of times that we he wants to see it as a club squad. Probably why Henderson will be there. Characters who don't go all Roy Keane while in camp. Your bit part players need to be ready to go if needed, but happy to watch from the bench when not, and not disrupt the team. Henderson does that in a way Maguire doesn't I think.

Yeah we either win it or go out in the group with the most pathetic of wimpers. My money is on the latter sadly. I am not sure any of them have the fight.

I am not sure any of them have the fight. Id like to hope you are wrong. I've seen teams i support (Montreal Canadians, Toronto Raptors, Hamilton Tigercats, Toronto Bluejays, TFC, hamilton force fc and of course City) win the titles/cups. I am still waiting for the Buffalo Bills and feckin England men's team to win the superbowl and world cup respectively. I don't care as much about the euro's but wouldnt be upset of england won it This close to completing sport but two of the biggest choke jobs have to find miracles For what it's worth, i have always supported the Canadian men's football team since the 90s so hope they win the cup one day. I did get to witness them win the gold cup so perhaps im good. The world cup is not a reality for Canada for a lonnnnggg time.
VLC86 Posted 22 May Posted 22 May Foden not going is bang on, I think Palmer, Maguire and Shaw are a big mistake. Thats probably the strangest squad for a major tournament I’ve seen us take.
Lionator Posted 22 May Posted 22 May Jed Spence over Trent, Tuchel has been on the pilsners hasn’t he?!!
Popular Post Vacamion Posted 22 May Popular Post Posted 22 May Love that Maguire's Mam has weighed in. Gonna get my Mam on the case next time I don't get a promotion at work... 1 4

fox_favourite Posted 22 May Posted 22 May Does anyone rate Madueke? To me he has always looked useless. Just runs at players then loses the ball. Barnes is better than him (no bias). Also KDH offers something different and is better than Henderson. He's taken Reece James and Stones who are both injury prone and left a guy in Maguire that has played well and helped a team from nest the bottom to 3rd on the league. Doesn't scream winners to me...seems dodgy.
The Bear Posted 22 May Posted 22 May Toney is in there for penalty shoot outs. Henderson is in for the same reason you lot bought Coady. Dressing room only.
when_you're_smiling Posted 22 May Posted 22 May There’s a lot I don’t understand - but then I didn’t understand why Tuchel went with Morgan Rogers and that proved inspired. It’s not just about picking the best 26 players. You need people who will be good at changing games coming off the bench who know they won’t start. Having said that, not sure on what planet he thinks Djed Spence is a good idea.

EnderbyFox Posted 22 May Posted 22 May I'm a bit gutted about Maguire tbh, will miss his big bastard meaty head at set-pieces

If he’s match sharp then he’s one of the first names on the team sheet imo
