Turn NFC off, screenshot the ticket (as QR code is then on the ticket) place under the scanner and it works. Our group have done it twice already and it's fine. If anything it's actually easier to share the tickets especially like us you don't live close to each other to pass them over.

Switched to a new phone last week. Google to Google so it handled all the copying over. No issues upon entry.

Just posting here in case anyone is worried about moving over to a new device.

I don’t have an issue with the technology.  Once the ticket is opened it’s as quick to wave your phone at the reader as wave the card.  It works for me equally well with my phone or my watch.

As has been said before, the club wants to be able to keep track of who is sitting in a particular seat, presumably in case there is trouble.  All PL Clubs are the same in this regard.  Two or more people sharing a season ticket shouldn’t matter to the club because every game more or less sells out so there is no loss of revenue and if I lend my ticket to a mate because I can’t go, the club at least potentially makes something from merch and catering.  What they don’t want is me selling my ticket every week on the black market to some randomer for say £40 a pop.

So my suggestion would be:

- Unlimited forwarding within a small group, say 4 for arguments sake.

- Stress that I am responsible for the behaviour of anyone I forward my ticket to.

- Continue with the option of the official resale platform as it is.

You could even try and print off the QR code and scan it on the reader.

You never know it might work😉

The stupid thing from the Club ... is that this has effectively always been the case anyway, with physical cards, tickets or whatever.

If I lend my Season Ticket to anyone, then I am absolutely responsible for their behaviour in respect of Club rules.    If they misbehave, I'm going to lose my season ticket.

This is beyond an INEOS problem (as some of the replies on the tweet allude to).

This is the way football is heading.

I saw a clip the other day of Kieran Maguire pretty obviously stating that football is heading the way (if it hasn't already) of tourist attractions as opposed to helping/rewarding/keeping loyal fans that have attended over several years and generations.

Thanks to owners. Businessmen who want money and their only goal is to get money. Man Utd and Spurs (which Maguire mentioned) can earn up to £100m per season in ticket sales, so increasing ticket prices by phasing out season ticket holders and upping single matchday tickets can earn them to 20% on top of that. Which could help towards transfers and buying players. That's all the owners see.

Fans are not cared about any more.

There were ads on the billboards at half time on Saturday, encouraging people to sell their season ticket on the resale platform for the Arsenal game - club must be itching to get a few bus loads full of extra hospitality bods to the tigers for a meal and then cram them in to the normal seats to get those extra pound notes in.

If by a miracle we stay up I bet they ram the season tickets up to a ridiculous price next season.

Everything the club has done in recent years is aimed at getting rid of people that might chant things like sack the board / Rudkin out.
They will also charge this year’s prices next year if we’re in the championship.

Customers wanted, not supporters !

I was just about to say this exact same thing. It was bizarre, basically please don't come we need to resell your ticket.

If I'm honest if I can't make any game would rather the seat be empty or give it to a mate (for free) that let the club sell it on.

Same. And that’s the exact reason why I paid for a card. Would rather lose out on £25 than the club make money off the resale platform.

Has anyone actually managed to sell their ticket via the resell platform?

Last season, and this, I've not been able to make a handful of games, every time I've put them on the platform, and each time they've not been sold.

Also tried "forwarding" my ticket to my dad for a game, and the platform wouldn't let me, rang the ticket office, which was closed, at 11am the day before the game...

Scam.

We've managed to share a season ticket game within the Google wallet app. Just shared the link via WhatsApp. I was surprised it worked though, I expected it to be blocked.

I resold one early on in the season, and some last year, no problem at all. I do sit in the cheap seats and right next to the stairway, so it's probably got something going for it that some single seats don't.

My season ticket is on my phone (Apple IPhone) stored in my wallet.

generally OK, however when I access my wallet and choose LCFC, in addition to the next match, it also shows 2 previous games  (1 was a cup game and 1 was a home game where I swapped seats).

These keep appearing . Any idea how to get rid of them?

CBA to phone the club.

I’ve not been able to go to 2 games. Both sold straight away. I’m in P1 so one of the cheaper tickets. Maybe that’s why?

A general rule of thumb.

If someone in a leadership position implements a change that didn't obviously need making and INSISTS upon it then the benefit of that change is to leverage control.

Now there are emails going around reminding season ticket holders they can sell their ticket for the Arsenal game, with a step by step guide to using the resale platform. Christ, they really, really, don't want any normal supporters to come at all do they? Clearly want us all gone to make way for day trippers.

Albeit I'm of a certain age now, I'm not averse to adopting new technology  ... when it works! On all bar two occasions since this came in, I've seen on arrival someone having trouble with their phones. A steward has sometimes been able to help or advice given for a trip to the ticket office. Apart from the hassle, if it's the latter and you miss kick off I doubt there's any compensation.

They've got an incentive to buy your ticket off you for (1/19) the cost of your season ticket and resell it at full price.
