Although it doesn't make financial sense, I just want the club to make him sweat and dig their heels in.  Maybe we won't get as much for him next summer, but at least it shows that we won't be pissed around by Chelsea, they have obviously worked hard to unsettle him.  They are probably in contact with him and his agent advising him on his next ploy.

Please Leicester do not fold!

Fofana is going to have to think again when the window closes.   This is a chance for the club to restore a hard ball reputation after being taken to the cleaners by Besiktas and to make a statement that we will not be manipulated by players and especially not by Chelsea.

...Unless of course they meet our valuation.

the whole situation is turning into a farce. Stories of dressing room unrest, our inability to make a signing… I think there’s going to come a time when Rodgers will have had enough and will walk. I think if we sell Fofana, Rodgers will go!

we need a fresh start now  to reset some minds and stop the negativity so it might be a good idea if he does.

Just stories so why believe them? Too many having meltdowns and reacting angrily when we have no idea what is actually happening.

Although it appears Fofana is acting like a right pr*ck, it does make you wonder what the informal chats were during the contract extension.

We've already got madders below 2 years, Tielemans below 1 yearr and vards below 1 year etc. The club have pulled a blinder to get wes to resign so that we can maximise our profits, but to other players it seems like we don't have a clue.

There's no financial sense in keeping a player who's likely to sulk and infect others around him. Particularly as it will prevent us signing other players.

It's not a great situation but at least we can make some money out of it. Think of the business logic, and try not to get emotionally upset by it.

I’ve very much NOT been a defender of wes’ position over the past few weeks whilst others have been questioning if he really does what to leave.

however, we have no evidence as to why he’s being left out tomorrow - too many are assuming that it’s his call.  Professional players do have to be in the right headspace to perform to their level.

rodgers was asked specifically yesterday if he would remove him from the squad if this was the case and he answered yes.

I commented that it almost seemed as though it was a planted question to allow Brendan to set the narrative on his absence,

Of course it’s clear wes wants to go to Chelsea. But we could easily end up in two weeks with him still here if boehly won’t pay the fee. And then we absolutely have to get behind the player.   So please let’s not jump to conclusions when we just don’t know.

rodgers will have to answer those questions tomorrow and I suspect he will claim responsibility for the decision. It could even be the clubs call because they don’t want to risk injury ahead of a deal.

Rodgers won’t walk because he’ll wont get any compo. He’s among the best paid managers in the league

with the Fofana money, I’m sure we could meet him half way..

That would be a clear admittance they are putting money before the effectiveness of the team. This decision will be their's alone , Rodgers has made his position clear.

There has been smoke in the sky for weeks despite near daily proclamations that there isn't a fire. Yet still the smoke keeps billowing.

He'll go before the end of the window, can't see it ending any other way now.

It also doesn’t make sense to sell him at any price.

Well no, true, the pay off to St Etienne.

....I think what he meant was, that we will have a lump sum paid with the rest paid over a period of time!!!

We would have to agree on a price of £90m+ in order for the St. Etienne percentage to leave us with £80m coming to us.

No I’ve forgotten the % we’re due to pay St Etienne when we sell.

Theres been a lot to keep up with in this saga!

It's not 20% of the price, it's 20% of the profit.

Been discussed so many times I thought you must be joking.

You must’ve missed a fair bit mate if you think it’s all just rubbish rumours. The next few days will reveal all…
