I’m not sold on the idea we missed out on Lookman. We needed a right winger not left.

Did no one tell you? We retired the right wing position when Mahrez left. It doesn't exist anymore.

Julien Stephan is having a rough start to the campaign with Strasbourg this season but he's been fantastic since his breakthrough at Rennes.

  • Got the Rennes job on an interim basis, qualified for the EL knockouts, finished 10th and won the Coupe De France
  • Finished 3rd the season after (season cut short due to covid)
  • Rennes finished 6th in 2020-21, he resigned in March after 4 straight defeats (:teehee:)
  • Took the Strasbourg job in the summer, who'd finished 15th the season before
  • Finished 6th with them last season

He's played a mixture of styles and formation which is the most encouraging aspect of his management, good write up here

I'd have him, passion. Shouts, raves and jumps up and down on the sidelines.

Very, very doubtful he would give us a second’s  consideration  but I would move heaven and earth to try and get him #elite

His trousers are always too short. For a man of his means, that’s unforgivable. For that reason alone, it’s a no 😖

He already blew us off once.  If he considered himself too big for us four years ago he certainly would now.

not that he was coming here but Chavski reported to be approaching Potter for their next manager. Apparently has a 16 mill release clause

So that’s two weeks of Chelsea pissing about

“ ok, will you accept 6 million and 4 million in add ons ?”

” ok, it’s 16 million you want but what about 10 million and a random under 18 player that we don’t want ?”

” Right, 12 million and a youth player, Kepa and 5 million if we win the Premier League this season ?”

Put this elsewhere but he's completely classless and notoriously disliked wherever he ends up. He's a good manager but he's not even that good a manager and has an even shorter shelf life of when things go well for his teams.

Everything about it would be a bad appointment.

Ah, so that's what he was smelling.

Edit: nah, sorry, confused him with Low for a moment there. Easy done.
