wasn’t a suggestion, just a response to the poster aboves suggestion that it could be him we were interested in from dortmund.

Ive looked through the squad and i haven’t a clue who it could be if not akanji.

Sule has just arrived. Schlotterbeck and hummels are surely not options.

So who …are we finally signing hazzard and not actually looking for a cb there

My bad. Didn't see that. That's interesting.

Still better than Amartey and vestergaard

and I'd be fine if he was replacing either of the aforementioned players

But I'm not fine with him being the Fofana replacement

Dont think of him as a fofana replacement. Think of him as a Vestergaard/Amartey replacement.

But they aren't going anywhere.  We cannot afford another third choice CB.

Akanji won't come here to sit on the bench

Another player in his late 20s with no resale value, club needs to sort their recruitment policy out and fast

thats what happens when Callum Smithson is in charge.

Seems like guessing games to be. Someone has got half the story. Right club. Wrong player.

Dahoud as a Youri replacement :fc: he’s out of contract in the summer

Yikes that doesn’t make for good reading… I guess this is the reason nobody has took the plunge on him! Looks like a player heading for retirement at 23

As others have noted

tbh, I was concerned about this link but he actually looks perfect for our club ….. I wonder what his golf handicap is ……..

Right position too? I'm guessing not! 👀

How can it be a Fofana replacement if it is the wrong position?

It not BR signing - John percy

According to sources in Germany, Borussia Dortmund's Manuel Akanji is Leicester's No 1 target if Fofana is sold. A Switzerland international, Akanji has been identified as a high-quality replacement by Leicester's recruitment team.

€40m release clause for Lacroix (if it is still active)

Id have him over Akanji every single day but can't see us paying that.

The profile of CBs we're linked with sees to favour passing and carrying over everything else. Our shit ball progression is the coaching not the players deployed - Akanji looks as though he's a shiny Vestergaard.

We can take a loan with obligation to pay the release clause next summer

I'm pretty sure that Akanji has a fair amount of pace, but other than that I think your point in terms of fitting Rodger's style of play is warranted.

The criticism I'm seeing of him is that he is prone to mistakes, which obviously is a concern when you compare him to our other fringe defenders, who we know are also prone to the same thing.
