He doesn't win aerials. Great scouting this.... Just what we need another defender that's useless in the air. If this is true then just get rid of Rodgers and get someone in that can coach and operate in the transfer market. We are in the mess we are in because of his complete failure last summer.

If we are getting big money for Fofana then spend on a replacement with a high ceiling, not a player in his late 20s.

If we sell Vestergaard as well as Fofana, and get one of the above along with Akanji it wouldn't be so bad.

If fofana leaves, then given Soyuncu seems unlikely to be given the nod, you'd have one of those paired with Evans. Akanji (or any new cb) would then take that place instead of them. So he'd replace either of them in the 11.
