Twitcher Posted 4 September 2022 Posted 4 September 2022 Yes, afraid so. I'll be amazed if we get out of this, as early as it is in the season. 1

We have our work cut out! When the new manager comes In we have to win 3-5 on the bounce or we are in it all season Edited 4 September 2022 by Cincinnati Fox
Brainy Posted 4 September 2022 Posted 4 September 2022 This thread is insane I must be missing the number 3 infront of our 6 games played this season 1
STUHILL Posted 4 September 2022 Posted 4 September 2022 It's the defence that concerns me. Even with Rodgers gone, we are still likely to have a very injury prone and ageing Evans, as well as Soyuncu who seems to want out and not even training properly, a new signing who we have no idea if he will be any good, and then what? Amartey is woeful and N'didi should never be at CB. It's a bloody mess. Not to mention, that our best and only DCM, has been out of form for over a year now? We also have midfielders in Tielemans and Soumare, who really do not work anywhere near as hard enough in their defensive duties. There is no quick fix for any of that, and it is likely we will continue to be easy to play against and concede goals. It's a big reason I am leaning towards a Dyche type manager, just so we can get back to the basics of clearing the ball and being as solid as possible. Attacking wise, I think we will always score goals, especially if we keep Maddison fit and are able to get Tielemans and Barnes back in form. In the relegation mix come the end of the season is still a real possibility and we need to start picking up some wins. New manager bounce plz! 2
Finn Claw II Posted 4 September 2022 Posted 4 September 2022 Results aside from our own went our way. New manager bounce and we will be back in the mix for staying up. We just need to go back to basics, a flat back four, wingers defending the full backs and midfielders protecting the back 4.

Feels like it has been centuries since we had one!

Popular Post Sly Posted 5 September 2022 Popular Post Posted 5 September 2022 If we don’t win the game against Villa, we’ll be on 1 point from a possible 21. Based on history over the course of the Premier league, this would have happened in the following seasons: 21/22 - Norwich - Relegated - 36 points to survive. 20/21 - Sheff U - Relegated - 29 points to survive. 17/18 - Crystal Palace - Survived - 34 points to survive. 13/14 - Sunderland - Survived - 34 points to survive. 09/10 - Portsmouth - Relegated - 31 points to survive. 99 / 00 - Sheff W / Newcastle - One relegated - 34 points to survive. 98/99 - Southampton - Survived - 37 points to survive. 95/96 - Manchester City - Relegated - 39 points to survive. 5 out of the 9 teams were relegated, so 56%. Or it happened in 5 of the 8 seasons, so 63%. On average, based on previous seasons, we’d need 34 points to stay up. So another 33 to go …. Or 11 wins! The teams that survived. 17/18 - Crystal Palace - Changed Manager 13/14 - Sunderland - Changed Manager 99/00 - Newcastle - Changed Manager 98/99 - Southampton - Didn’t change. 3 2
RowlattsFox Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 We just don't do boring seasons do we. Always drama one way or another I'm certainly more concerned but luckily still only 1 win away from being outside the relegation zone. Can our defence get better? If it doesn't we are going down, without a doubt. No pressure Faes 3
Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 If we don't get rid of BR before the WC break, I can see us being relegated. But if we act now, with the right person, get the players motivated with personnel in their right positions, better tactics and some realistic positivity, there is enough in this squad to climb into mid table to regroup and go forward. 1
Sir Shep Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 Our next few matches, bar Spurs, are winnable if we show some balls and replace the coaching staff. 1
indierich06 Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 Relegation, honestly? There are some absolute bedwetters on here.

Why don't you explain to us the basis on which we aren't actually in any danger at all and concerns are completely without foundation? You watched the game yesterday I take it? 1

Because we've played six ****ing games? Blimey There are people in here speaking as though there is already an R next to us on the table. Granted any confidence in us staying up is based on us changing manager, and even if he did stay we still have a squad that should be more than good enough to stay up *if* Rodgers changes his philosophy a bit. But people waving the white flag already is beyond ridiculous.

Oh, ffs, it isn’t either ‘we’re doomed’ or ‘we’re in no danger!’ It is possible for there to be a middle ground - ie we’re playing crap and are in a mess but there’s also loads of the season left so getting out of this pickle is still perfectly possible. 2

The thing is, people having been voicing concerns about Rodgers' management for a good while now and were met with similarly smug dismissals. 1 1

Happy Fox Posted 5 September 2022 Posted 5 September 2022 This must be the worst form produced by a Leicester City manager In the premier league?
