Well that's where you're going wrong. Should use shovel, not a fork.

A fox just had a wander around our garden in the snow, quite the charming winter scene.

Usually it's rats we see so definitely an improvement on that

You sure? There's some big rats around these days.

I overlook a nature reserve where I live.

The road and everything I can see in front of me (pond, trees etc) looks no worse than it do at 21:00 last night. It sees that massive blast we got was the worst of it.

I can imagine when you get onto roads that actually see traffic and a gritting vehicle, it’s easier to get around.

My missus was adamant our boiler had broke a few weeks before Christmas, so she called an emergency plumber out whilst I was at work

She'd knocked the off switch with the toaster.

lol we called a plumber out to our hot water system a couple weeks ago... said couldnt see a plumber issue,  he called his elec mate... came out, checked..Discovered the granddaughter had turned the switch off in the house :)

I'm finding these weather warnings, approximately 100% of the time, are over-egged and it turns out to be never as bad as predicted.

But isn't it a no win situation? You underplay it or don't go big when you think something might happen, it DOES end up happening and then people whine that they didn't get warned.

Maybe we should be pleased that we were warned it might be bad, but it turned out not to be 100% of the time.

Managed to get off my estate in Ashby (with some wheel spinning getting onto the main road) just to find a lorry and cars blocking the road

Turned round and now back in bed lol my boss can’t even get off his drive and he lives closer to work than I do

just had to drop my daughter at the grand parents in Hinckley, roads are fine just slushy.

Hopefully it warms up and goes before tonight as if it does then the roads will be horrendous if it freezes.

The thing is, people will start ignoring the warnings, that's when it gets dangerous.  It wouldn't be so bad if they were right 50% of the time.  Nobody expects them to get it right all the time.

As usual the LE9/LE10 area hasn’t really got much snowfall compared to other areas with more elevation or not being ‘down wind’.

Its at that annoying phase already.
