Would we even be British if we didn't say "This summer has been shit, could count the hot days on one hand"

Then two weeks later go "Too fvcking hot, can't stand it"

lol

I'm already calling the next moan in about 3 or 4 months will be: "Half an inch of snow and this country comes to a standstill"

Sort 'em out @Jattdogg

Oooh, I do hate that time of year though.

You not noticed it already? Don't it get dark early? :ph34r:lol

Yeah, I hate it too. I get so down and fed up.

I think I might have SAD

Symptoms of SAD

Symptoms of SAD can include:

  • a persistent low mood (tick)
  • a loss of pleasure or interest in normal everyday activities (tick)
  • irritability (tick)
  • feelings of despair, guilt and worthlessness (tick)
  • feeling lethargic (lacking in energy) and sleepy during the day (tick)
  • sleeping for longer than normal and finding it hard to get up in the morning(tick)
  • craving carbohydrates and gaining weight
  • difficulty concentrating(tick)
  • decreased sex drive (not relevant at my age)

For some people, these symptoms can be severe and have a significant impact on their day-to-day activities.

Lol

We have had 3 days this week of being in low 30s but the "feels like" was in low 40s. Yesterday was still hot but not as hot.

Today, its 15 celsius and over the course of the morning/afternoon will get to 24.

Every morning this week ive droped the kids to school walking in baking heat. Get back home a hot sweaty mess. Looking forward to dropping them off on 15 today lol

To be fair though,  we have had a shite summer in Ontario in terms of rain and being cool. Sooo many days were low 20s or maybe mid 20s which made beach going tough with the great lakes being cold. Both lake erie and lake huron were bloody cold. Think we didnt have 1 day in august that went into the 30s which is typically unheard of.

I might moan if its tooo hot (feels like 40s can do one) or when it's  -25 (feels like -35) but i enjoy weather of all seasons.

Just got to embrace the 4 seasons and enjoy what each one has to offer or fook off to somewhere its 22 celsius all year (high and low).

It's a great time of year for a heatwave. Kids back at school so you can go out and enjoy it. For me anyway 😀

Plus, it's cooling down in the evening and not oppressive and disturbing your sleep.

Set to be a muggy one tonight though.

Happy hottest day of the year FTers

Mother in Law + barbecue...blinded by smoke

A possible fall onto said barbecue?...

Tastes like grilled pork, apparently.

Job done.

I went searching but I swear there was a "sleeping in this heat" topic that came back round every year. According to the search function it doesn't exist.

I know about misremembering but to create a false memory of a topic on Foxestalk is sad even for me!

It's been archived due to no replies in many years, but feel free to recreate it
