We need it postponed.

We're in such a state at the moment that we need as many games postponed as possible under Brendan's control. Hopefully when they're rescheduled we're under better supervision.

We need all the help we can to rescue this season. Maybe the energy crisis becomes so great winter games following the world cup need to be cancelled? Maybe a resurgence of a new covid strain which heads us in to a new lock down.

Mad that i am wishing for an energy apocalypse and the next phase of the pandemic rather than watch more Rodgers ball.

I’d sooner us get relegated than more lockdowns and the energy crisis getting worse

Why does the train strike only apply in one direction.

Yes probably as I think it was to do with strikes affecting the rail links that they have to their stadium from Brighton to Falmer.

And also it was the freshers weekend at the University which is close by.

If we play...

Get Iversen in goal.   He has proved himself a capable Championship stopper.  This is more than Ward has done.

We also need to get a settled side with our best players in to give us a chance to develop some positive consistency .

Our best 11 is hard to call  as we have been so poor but we know our players have excelled in the past.   There are big calls to make.   Does KDH get in?  Would Vardy be best used as a substitute when the game is opening up.   Should a winger be promoted from the academy?   I think we need to be aiming at a 433.   The lack of a genuine rw option remains problematic.

Iversen

Castagne, Evans, Faes, Justin

Tielemans, Ndidi, Maddison

?  Vardy/Daka,  Barnes

Our squad lacks the balance to make it  straightforward to pick a best 11.

Ward has proven himself very capable at International level and had a very good Euros.

besides isn’t one of His saves against Chelsea on the list for saves of the month?

not saying he’s world class  but people seem to have expected a seamless transition after Kasper leaving and we have our second and third choice keepers vying for the role. It’s a bit like when Mahrez left- everyone was going to be judged by him  and no one was going to be good enough.

He had one good game in the Euros and one awful game vs Denmark. His Euros wasn’t that great

Last season, many wanted Schmeichel replaced.

Ward, to me, does not look like a Premier League keeper.  He's a decent keeper but not at the elite level of the Premier League

I think we would lose this regardless but another absolute hammering at this moment isn’t what we need.

I’m just beginning to feel we’re stuck with Brendan, and as we’re already rock bottom a mini reset can’t do any more harm.

Brendan is the problem so the longer it takes the worse it gets. 4 weeks of his training and we' ll be beyond saving

Oh I know, I’m just beginning to think if we haven’t pulled the trigger by now then when ? I don’t want it to get any worse.

I just can’t bring myself to want us to play so we can get thumped just to get rid of him.

i agree with everything written here- I’m just simply saying that there’s no way of declaring that Iversen is better than Ward and if we are going to look at ‘ credentials’ then Ward has the upper hand

This will be postponed. Then the manager will have had the best part of a month to work his magic with the players in training, only for us to be dicked by Forest.

Absolute scenes.

Don't live too far from Tottenham, after moving a couple of weeks' ago, and heard from a Spurs season ticket holder that the club hasn't announced a yes or no yet - in terms of whether the game is going ahead.

Indeed   Iversen may also not be of a higher standard.  But I think we need to find out.

Ward was replaced as Wales keeper having had a good Euros.   Iversen was lauded by Preston fans.  Many international games are not Premier League standard.

We were linked with Reya, Sanchez and the Plymouth keeper among others.   Then it turned out we weren't buying.   Perhaps the feeling is that we don't have an elite keeper.    Stolarczyk seems to be the big hope.

Would pushing the kick off time back to 8 make it easier to police ?

I mean his credentials are pretty much a few good games for Wales, a couple of good cup games for us, and being sat on our bench for 4 years?

Even in the 1 full season he has ever played he was part of a defence that were the first side to ever get promoted with a negative goal difference

Iversen has at least been playing regular football for 4 years and has also done well wherever he has been

Catch 22 though. Without games he definitely not getting sacked.

If anything his position is safer and more secure, he maybe evens starts to regain some support, bearing in mind quite a few have only just turned, they will quite easily ‘forget’ and ‘give him a chance’ to see how we come back from a few weeks off and restarting, pathetic as that is, that’s how some of our fanbase will view it I’m sure.

Just as it was gaining traction and a large majority had turned, the Villa game there would have been chants of discontent, it would have actually been toxic (How it’s not been before shows just how patient our fanbase has been) but then this happens and it all calms down.

Next game there will be many, happy clapping and singing “Brendan Rodgers Blue and White Army”. Pathetic.

No. And it would totally screw over the majority of fans going.

Like Preston??

Spurs is a game we're currently expecting nothing from... so the perfect opportunity to give Iversen his chance

2-3 Leicester.

There has to be a response in this game, and surprisingly think there will be.

Am going, as am living in London now.

You will be bitterly disappointed!
