Fear Of The Fox Posted 10 September 2022 Posted 10 September 2022 PL can't be selective in reversing fixtures. There are also a wide range of logistics to be considered. There's simply no time to reverse this fixture and both teams have to agree. It's not happening.
PAULCFC Posted 10 September 2022 Posted 10 September 2022 Would make sense to reverse the fixtures as the spurs women are up here on the sunday. 1

Doubt it....but you might know different....every team i've seen recently at the KP bring 2 buses up.Ok it might piss of the mens team to stay a night extra up here...but would make sense......but then again we are talking about the PL.
1972 Fox Posted 11 September 2022 Posted 11 September 2022 Last week (before the Queen's passing) it was announced that Brighton v Palace which was due to be played on 17th September was postponed, mainly because of rail strikes. Could this fixture have been reversed potentially? No consistency from the PL as always.
Ricey Posted 11 September 2022 Posted 11 September 2022 Doubt it will be revered as the Tigers are at home on Saturday. 2
Fox92 Posted 11 September 2022 Posted 11 September 2022 (edited) How are Spurs gonna sell 3000 tickets in a week? They'd do it because of their fan base but surely it'll be too difficult. Edited 11 September 2022 by Fox92 1

It if it is reveresed I see a largely reduced attendance : least because of our current position 🫣
Gazza M Posted 11 September 2022 Posted 11 September 2022 Thoroughly hope this goes ahead if it is 1 more game the board are waiting for to put him and us out of our misery. Spurs on their day could beat anybody so not really a game wasted so much. 2

ClaphamFox Posted 11 September 2022 Posted 11 September 2022 Potential banana skin this one. We’ve got to stay focused. 1

Can’t it be moved to Thursday or Friday night Otherwise with the World Cup going ahead this year they’ll be a massive build up of fixtures to get played ?

Super_horns Posted 11 September 2022 Posted 11 September 2022 Clubs don’t seem keen on the idea. https://theathletic.com/3582177/2022/09/10/premier-league-fixture-disruption/?amp=1
majaco Posted 11 September 2022 Posted 11 September 2022 If we play... Get Iversen in goal. He has proved himself a capable Championship stopper. This is more than Ward has done. We also need to get a settled side with our best players in to give us a chance to develop some positive consistency . Our best 11 is hard to call as we have been so poor but we know our players have excelled in the past. There are big calls to make. Does KDH get in? Would Vardy be best used as a substitute when the game is opening up. Should a winger be promoted from the academy? I think we need to be aiming at a 433. The lack of a genuine rw option remains problematic. Iversen Castagne, Evans, Faes, Justin Tielemans, Ndidi, Maddison ? Vardy/Daka, Barnes Our squad lacks the balance to make it straightforward to pick a best 11.

Collymore Posted 11 September 2022 Posted 11 September 2022 We need it postponed. We're in such a state at the moment that we need as many games postponed as possible under Brendan's control. Hopefully when they're rescheduled we're under better supervision.

We don’t want him in charge for Forest though. We will probably loose this one anyway
goose2010 Posted 11 September 2022 Posted 11 September 2022 It makes sense to reverse it but the logistics behind a premier League match make it pretty much impossible with 6 days notice. The policing is probably the main reason it won't be at home.
