I miss looking forward to playing the top teams thinking there was a chance of getting something

In the last 18 months we’ve won 6 league games against sides higher than 15th in the table when we played them.

2 v Man United (one of which was v their reserves)

Liverpool last Christmas

2 2-1 home wins against Palace

The 2-1 win at Brentford last season

Can someone get sacked in a mourning period?

According to the song, apparently he's getting "sacked in the mourning", so I think so.

Glad Rodgers has beaten you down. We don’t have any right to compete

....It would be good to know what the Board was thinking!!!

They really cannot come out and give him a vote of confidence, as I do not believe they have any faith in him, so it would be hypocritical should they issue a statement backing him. There is no acknowledgment that there is an issue also and any discontent coming from supporters, which you would think, would make the Board seek to re-assure people.

Something must be going on behind the scenes regarding addressing this and if we are choosing to wait to see where we are further down the line, you would have to question the people in charge.

My fear is that they will make a move for Martinez (after the World Cup) in an attempt to placate the fanbase, but I have little confidence in him, he struggles to gain any traction with a plethora of top-class players at his disposal, he will be a poor choice. Going for Fischer would be a brave choice, Slot would be a gamble as well, but we can't play safe in this league, as it is the only way to seek to try and compete with the top 6. It is hard to continue being innovative, eventually, the gamble will fail and it will set us back greatly, but a calculated risk, it must be.

I would welcome a vote of confidence, since in context it’s basically synonymous with “kiss of death”.

When’s his press conference this week? Thursday?

Wonder if Jason Bourne’s been banned?

Would love a question about a reprieve.

Can imagine some of our drugged up pricks belting out a rendition of " no surrender to the ira" after the minutes silence to the queen

Most of them have already posted in this thread I reckon, Raj - having put myself through reading a few pages.

Sleepwalking towards the championship with Brendan. That is a shocking stat

I'm glad this will go ahead, perfect timing, lose badly probably by at least 3 then sack the dwarf and get someone fresh in, 2 week gap then take on Forest with a fresh start and that's where our season starts.

Or the title of a book you’d never, ever want to read.

I bet the new lad can't wait for his debut.

What is the most amount of goals his teams have conceded when he has played?

At least 5 here as is the norm with us v Spurs

Anything but an over whelming thrashing and Rogers is surely gone. We’ve had horrible encounters with the spuds these past few seasons and this might be the final straw that breaks the camels back!
