Popular Post MrsJohnMurphy Posted 10 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 10 August 2025 Clearly our best CB, plays every game for me, couldn't care less about his "attitude" 5
Popular Post HitchinFox Posted 10 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 10 August 2025 So many here keep saying the same thing... "He's a bellend" "He thinks he's better than he is" "He thinks he's Maldini" "His attitude stinks and he thinks he's above us" Is there any evidence of this? Genuine question. Because it's highly likely that I've missed something he has said or put on social media etc. 12
Popular Post grobyfox1990 Posted 10 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 10 August 2025 His celebration was brilliant, any happy clapper even slightly irritated by that is way too much of a snowflake. He got the winner in the 90th minute, stop being so woke, it’s irrelevant how he celebrated. Also thought his laughing when he came on to booing was funny 12 1

Because it's highly likely that I've missed something he has said or put on social media etc. There were a lot of occasions last year where we conceded directly as a result of his error, and every single time he'd immediately look around and throw his hands up in the air as if it was everyone else's fault. Id imagine that's at least part of the reason why he's disliked by some. 7
Dahnsouff Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 Suspect that the fact he is not as meek or silent as some, plays a significant part of the distaste some have toward him.
Clogger_ Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 The entrenched dislike of Faes from some reminds me of the super-weird anti-Pearson contingent! Anyway, he'll be starting most games unless he gets sold. No world-beater, but our best option.
James_lcfc Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 Really good Championship CB to be fair to him. Not good enough for the PL, but that’s not really relevant at the moment is it!
fleckneymike Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 He’s not very good but thinks he’s great. Depressingly he’s still a better defender than all the others. 1

He got booed, even after scoring.. and I was one of them ill hold my hands up.. but the celebration made me laugh and I actually thought good on him 1 1

Pop psychiatriaty, but maybe pinning stuff in him due to their own frustrations Tbh, I've never ever heard the guy speak,.let alone speak ill of anything or anyone 2
Popular Post Mickyblueeyes Posted 10 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 10 August 2025 He was smiling at the boos when coming on - good reaction. Finger to the ear when he scored - good reaction. A reaction was something we were dying for all of last season from all of them. I got no problem him doing that. 14

When our seasons have gone to shit there's always been talk of him wanting out. Last season there was an agent fed rumour that he had an agreement with the club that he'll be allowed to leave if we were relegated. It's not something that should get out, true or not. The focus should be on doing what you can to stay up, not on how you'll escape from the sinking ship.

"Shortly after the 4–0 home defeat by Brentford, the agency of Wout Faes posted a highlights reel of the defender on social media describing him as “a master of anticipation”. It included footage from a 4-0 defeat at Everton"

HankMarvin Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 Not good enough for the Prem, might as well be developing Nelson. Hopefully a bid comes in

Pliskin Posted 10 August 2025 Posted 10 August 2025 I actually loved his celebration, a bit of grit, I’m listening Wouty

It’s seemed to me he was having a go at SK1, they tend to lead the crowd in booing players. I’m in SK2 and nobody around me was booing him. Dont think it helped that our so-called supportive singing section in SK1 were singing “we’re going down” etc 10 minutes into the game.
