Why does Wout feel the need to slump to the floor and dangle out a leg, when someone runs directly at him?

It doesnt matter how good you are on the ball as a centreback if you cant win headers, lunge in to tackles with no hope of winning the ball leaving your teammates stranded, consistently lose your man on crosses etc.

 

It's every week, multiple times a game that he makes a mistake leading to a goal or a goalscoring chance for the opposition. As someone else said he is the Danny Ward of centrebacks, like Coady he wouldnt last 5 games at the likes of Wrexham so why is he starting for us.

At least Jannik plays some decent forward passes - so I can understand why he’s there. But Faes is costing us a goal a game now.  He has to give someone else a chance.

I dont  see why we don't just play Nelson this season, highly unlikely we get promoted this season anyway,unless we find a st that can score,play him and develop him ready for next season,but as usual we never think about the future so we will be stuck with vestergaard and faes for the season. Yes that means  I wanna see okoli and  Nelson together this season,but marti is to stubborn 😣

Im actually getting tired of the Jannik love in. There is a lot of dross in these forward passes. Lots were misplaces today, and every first ball comes to him so as a team is easy to predict whats going to happen. And then there is the fact he has no pace and is crap in the air. I'd sooner bin off Jannik than Wout, and i hate Wout.

Barely a love in - I think he’s bang average.   But he’s not frequently costing us goals.
