Kasper return.?

What's the chances of Kasper returning to the club in January? Not having a good time at Nice. Ses on his way out. Should be a free too  given they paid around s million for him.

I hope people haven’t forgotten how far he’s fallen off. The man is a club legend for sure. But for every amazing save he had last season, he gave up 4 mostly easy goals, and had waaaay too many terrible passes. 
He also seems to have grown a little too big for his britches, and I’m not referencing his alleged physical upsizing, but rather his attitude. Not sure how bringing him back would actually benefit the club in it’s current state.

It would 100% benefit the club. He’s not the keeper he was, but he’d have saved both goals today and 1 vs Brentford and about 3 vs Brighton. As virtually any League One standard keeper would.

 

Danny Ward is one of the worst players in any position in the history of top flight English football. Our goals conceded record with him in goal hasn’t been seen since about the 1890s. He’s a non-league keeper who won a competition, Schmeichel will still be a step up from him and a benefit to the club over him when he’s in his 70s.

We already have the step up to both of them on the bench. I love Kasper, but we’d be getting the 2022/2023 version, not the previous one people fondly remember. 
 

Although, I must admit, the way this season is going, it would be sort of comical to see Kasper come back, and sit on the bench each week next to Iversen while they watch Danny Ward give up 3-6 goals per match. 🤦🏻‍♂️

100% yes, not only is he a much much better keeper than Danny he is a big leader and would imagine the dressing room would benefit from his presence.

Do we think there might be a reason why it's not going well at Nice? They aren't shipping goals or dropping him because he's playing well are they. Every player has a shelf live and imo Schmeichel has out lived his. If some people had their way we'd be lining up with Schmeichel, Morgan, Vardy etc in 2050.

If Brendan’s still here, there’s no way this happens. His short man ego wouldn’t allow it. 
 

For what it’s worth, I’d have him back here in a heartbeat over Ward, especially as it looks like Iversen isn’t getting a look in. Kasper’s a much better goalkeeper than Ward and he’s the sort of leader we simply don’t have but really ****ing need right now.

Only way this would work is if Kasper came back as a player coach and was a no 2 stroke mentor for Iversen.

 

And thats very unlikely to happen.

Yes gerrim back. Problem is I also want to keep Iversen. He still has potential.

 

Which means we would have to offload Ward somehow. I can’t see anyone wanting him and he would happily collect his wages like Vestergaard.

I think there’s something in this. Seeing that it was going a bit south surely played into him moving.
