Surely America is the one country where clubs are not hugely important for the local community and regularly move them around

Different sport but Green Bay Packers are probably a massive exception.

Guess it depends on the owners.  Like i stated I can only give my opinion on American owners from my experience.

Feels to me like it's more part of the culture there rather than specific owners. Like clubs can blackmail their communities into paying for massive new stadia by threatening to move to a new city. Seems to happen every few years.

Wrexham are a big, rich club for their level and enjoy a great deal of media coverage so of course there will be some resentment. Especially because they are owned by corny North Americans. As for the "it's because they're Welsh" stuff - lmao

With the big four sports for sure but in the MLS, the owners have realised to make a success they have to make a community/local link. Particularly when portions of your support are likely to be second generation migrants. Columbus Crew remarkably stood strong on the will of the league and investors to take the club off to Austin. Was a big lesson for the league.

Fun fact Grimsby goalkeeper Max Crocombe was once sent off playing for Salford for having a pee behind an advertising hoarding.

Edit: Fact checked it and it turned out it was at the side of one of the stands at Bradford (Park Avenue).

Did I just hear West Ham have took 8k tonight fair play if true, another level to us

There are a couple clubs outside the top 6, who have a top 6 fanbase and West Ham are one of them. Always great support.

Not sure what you heard, but you might like to take a listen to the 'favourite theme tune ever' thread.

Atmosphere at Bramall Lane sounds terrible. Bloody hell.

Just turned over and the first chants I heard were Spurs fans singing about Sheffield being a shithole (which it isn't) and them being a shit Sheffield Wednesday (they're a league above).

Support has gone downhill everywhere it seems lol
