Okay.  Why do you have Youri CAM and Barnes LW when that's Barnes position hands down. Praet that isn't a DM. Ricardo, who can play RW, isn't necessary a preferred RW. Keeper is throw up but Ward looks to be showing a bit of stability at least. And I'm inclined to support the Faes - Evans model when all are fit. I'd also prefer Daka in most games now but it depends.

We were the better team.

They might have had more attempts, but not a single one was clear cut.

As for us creating nothing in the second half...we were 2-0 up, we killed the game.

That's exactly what we haven't been doing.

Would you rather we look to make it 4-0 but leave ourselves open at the back?

I wouldn't. It was professional game management, for the first time in a long time.

Some people are never happy!

I would have liked to have seen us control the game better at 2-0. We were easily disposed and very sloppy on the ball, which caused Leeds to launch a lot of attacks. I’m not sure I would call that good game management.

I’m glad we won and I’m really pleased with the defensive improvements but I still don’t think we played well as a whole and I think we were lucky that Leeds were so poor around the box.

Who forced him to play Praet?

He could have easily started Perez in that position tonight, or changed formation altogether to go two up top.

Instead he chose Praet and the decision paid off, give Rodgers credit.

He also played praet against Chelsea when he wasn’t forced to, and he was average at best - just a reason to post against Rodgers basically

Very weird game in which we had one shot on target and scored two. Hardly the future of success, good job we played a dispirited Leeds. But I'll take it. Now, FFS, get a result against wolves. An equally poor team. I don't fancy us against the Mancs!

Leeds were very poor, but haven't said that, it's three home performances in a row where we've looked the better team, controlled the game, an 7 points from 12, is a marked improvement on 1 from 21. I do think Man city are over hyped, an while I don't think we will get anything from it, if we win against wolves, I wouldn't be surprised to see us score twice and make it a competitive game.

That's really pissed me off.

I know a couple of Leeds fans and they're good as gold but they've got a rotten core as a fan base of some absolute cvnts.

There were a couple dozen doing it but led by two very persistent grown adults

It might be boring, but fair play to Rodgers in making the defence a lot more assured in recent games. That was the place to start!

We'll see how assured at the back we are when we play teams that actually want to try and score :D

I saw a Leeds team today gifted chance after chance to run at our defence today and luckily they had absolutely no idea what to do in the final 3rd.

I think we are only going to get better from here. We have more than enough going forward and are starting to look solid with Faes.

I do think another manager (one who hadn't spent so long telling the world how poor his squad is) would be getting much more out this group sadly, but I think we will be absolutely fine.

I know that will upset some that want Rodgers gone and think we are the worst team in existence but the fact is we have better attacking players than any team in the bottom half. It just sickens me how many of our players have been so badly man managed by this supposed great man manager.

I won't disagree with any of that, it amazes me how our life has been sucked out of this team. We are a whole lot better than what we've seen on the whole this season.  Even without some of our better players, we've shown we have strength in depth (no Madders, Evans or ndidi tonight) and can canter to a win without having to do anything really. That buck stops with Rodgers. No pun intended (ok there was) ;-)

We’ve all been saying it for weeks, but it’s amazing what happens when we have an actual right winger who sticks to the right and doesn’t create this massive hole in the team which Tielemans has to go and cover at right back.

Praet has to stay on the right from now on. Bring Maddison in for Soumare and go 4231. It’s so much simpler and better balanced.

This Maddison on the wing shit has to die

A million per cent. Called it after ten mins. Put Madders in the middle, KDH and Youri behind him. How Albrighton hasn't played on that right this season is criminal aswell.

Wouldn’t go as far as saying assured, extremely lucky not to concede against Leeds and Notts Forest

Credit to Rodgers, starting Praet was the best tactical decision he’s made this season.

But it wasn't tactical at all, it was forced. Of Maddison was available it wouldn't have happened. We'd have still won though as Leeds were one level above Oadby Town.

Give your opinion on what you would change

Well Ricardo is injured until the new year.

You’ve dropped one of our match winners in Barnes. You’ve also dropped Dewsbury-Hall who has been one of most consistent performers. Then you’ve put in Soyuncu who hasn’t played in the prem all season.

Don’t give up your day job.

Thx for the feedback. As a Belgian following Praet for his whole career, I think that CDM is the best position of Praet. I'm a big fan of him there, but not on any other position. I also loved Soyuncu a lot in the past.

C'mon KDH a consistent performer? He's had a couple of half decent games at best

Great win and much needed - Praet made a huge difference and Faes, Barnes and Ward all looked great.

Justin is an absolute liability and couldn't pass wind, every mistake that could be made he was doing his best to make it. Needs to seriously switch on.

Leeds were poor and with our defending a better side would have punished us tonight but things are moving forward at least.

I thought Justin much improved compared to his last few games. Put a great cross in.

Pretty boring, certainly 2nd half but we've needed some semblance of defensive stability and there's been a clear tactical tweak. Tielemans was MOTM tonight for me by a country mile. I like Faes and he defended very aggressively and well but the whole evenings easy work was because of Tielemans in his movement at the back and pretty much being everywhere.

Praet had a great first half, as did KDH. 2nd half was so so boring going forward, we couldn't string more than 2 passes together but we need the points so at least we got them.

Palace and Leeds have been diabolical, we are so abysmal away from home and tonight means nothing if we can't get a result away on Sunday.

It means we’ve got 3 more points than if we’d have lost. Sunday has nothing to do with it.

It was still a result of a mistake from Leeds. The move after that was sublime, but it was still a result of a mistake from Leeds.

Most goals come from a mistake, if the defence were perfect it’s unlikely anyone would score. It was a great goal and a striker the quality of Shearer was purring about it. Enjoy it you miserable git.

That's fair, but you've got to start somewhere! Confidence was on the floor for a while.

For what it's worth I think Rodgers will go, they will just wait until the end of the season if possible so his payoff is that bit less. Feels like to me this season is the "write-off" one, ahead of the new recruitment chief and most likely new manager to take over in the summer. Start of the Thomas Frank era? Could well be.
