I don't disagree with you, Mendy is a massively underrated player. But I think Soumare has a much higher ceiling in terms of potential, which is why we paid so much for him and why I don't think it's been a bad idea at all to give him a run of games. He also makes a lot more tackles than Mendy.

 

Mendy I think is great at being someone who can receive the ball and turn when under pressure, being a great outlet. Ndidi is the tough tackler but poor on the ball. Potentially, Soumare could be the hybrid between them. Although I think he would be better in the role that KDH plays for us.

Trossard/Ramazani is perfect to replace Hazard/Mertens, Doku and Duranville are the big talents on the wing tho.

Lukaku could be replaced by De Ketelaere or Openda.

Verschaeren won't make the cut imo. CM will be Onana, CDM will be Lavia. At LCB Theate is a very good young player. Zeno Debast/Koni De Winter at RCB.

The new generation is also excellent, but Martinez hates young players

I dunno im still not set on soumare looks a poor player to me more or less every time ive watched him id definitely have mendy over him right now
