It’s not overblown. Maddison on the right patently doesn’t work, we’ve seen so much evidence of that now. Praet on the right did work.

 

Of course Maddison was going to come back in. No one is debating that.
 

People are not saying Maddison shouldn’t have come back in, they’re saying Maddison should’ve come in for one of Tielemans, KDH or Soumare and played central and kept Praet on the wing which gives us so so so much better balance in the 4-2-3-1

Praet definitely deserved to keep his place, I'm not saying maddison shouldn't be playing as he's our most creative player, but praet gave us a balance in the team which has been missing for the most part. It just goes to show rodgers isn't willing to change and won't adapt his formation.

Hate to say it but we need to get a huge bid for Maddison in the summer. That and all our deadwood leaving allows us to reset and bring in players that can give us a better balance and options in formation/tactics. 
 

For now we should just put up with conceding a shit load of goals because these full backs can’t bomb on, defend and cover the space of two ‘wingers’ who do nothing in defence. 
 

That’s why Praet looked to have such a good game in the week. He created little but accurately but most importantly, helped out Castagne and gave Leeds very little room to pass out.

Neither Soumare or KDH should be playing. Wolves have got some tricky players in and around the positions Soumare will occupy. He will cost us the game because of his complete lack of defensive awareness.

I expect most people like myself that wanted Praet in will have wanted him in ahead of KDH (or either of Youri / Soumare and drop KDH back into an 8)

 

Maddison in the middle where he plays best

 

Praet on the right helps to support Castagne and provides consistent width

 

KDH was absolutely knackered on Thursday, not only should he have been subbed off that night but he should also have been given a rest today otherwise we are well on track to run him into the ground

I agree, the only possible reason I can even think of is that the left side comes exposed without KDH, whereas the right has a little more cover due to Castagne's work rate

Any dunderhead would realise we would be better off with the positional intelligence of Mendy for these tight games

I'm one of the biggest cynics when it comes to Praet and his complete over hype on here at times. 

 

But I too would have dropped KDH and played Madders in the middle and Praet on the right. 

 

Gives us much, much better shape defensively and offensively of we're going to play a back 4.

Wolves don`t score a lot, why is that a better call? Soumare has done better this season, and Papy is getting the "out of the team love" treatment

I don’t think Soumare had a bad game the other night @Corky. 
 

His ball retention is better than N’Didi and the midfield lost shape once Mendy was on. Appreciate some of that will be Praet being dragged at the same time. 
 

Soumare needs game.
