They’ve been recruiting players from other nations, similar to the Germans in the early 00s. They’ve built a half decent academy setup and have won a few Asian youth tournaments. 
 

They’ll improve to where they are now. It’s the journey for them, not the here and now. 
 

 

We'll see. They're in a race with the likes of South Korea, Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia and - funnily enough - Iran. In terms of trajectory, I can't see them displacing anyone except maybe SA for a long while.

Quite the opposite. I think this is particularly good for us qualifying. Iran will have to come out and attack (which they're not particularly good at) in order to get enough points to advance. Plus, Iran's goal difference will be abysmal. Keep scoring!
