Load of bollox about luck.

You don't get to finals and win trophies with luck alone.

Best 2 teams in the tournament, both lost games in the group stage too, should be a great final.

Argies for me, just gor the fans alone.

Still hate the pr1ck for diving 2 yards outside the box and getting a penalty against us in the Champs League quarters.

Imagine being Atletico and having to cheat like that to beat Leicester.

Not saying I like him, he’s just a very good efficient player and crucial to France winning games

Morocco will probably finish third if they perform like that again.

Doubt they will.

It's a nothing game that no side wants to be in.

Should be like Olympic boxing, both losing semi-finalists get a bronze.

It's only played for pure FIFA greed and a last little bit of cash scrape out of the tournament.

Early goal made Morocco play a bit more and it made for a better game. They lacked any end product though.

Not expecting a goal fest final, I can see it being niggly and full of theatrics as they try to get the edge.

I agree. Both France and Argentina are very capable of setting up to spoil the game. Could be very dull only sparked by dirty unpleasant gamesmanship. I don't expect clever, flowing football.

Neither team will set up to win. Just not to lose.

This guy is on €4000 a month at Angers… How?? He’s clearly technically superb, looking at his career in lower league of France to Angers I don’t see how no one else has picked him up. Especially given the money he is on.

Always tough to tell.

Could be a variety of reasons. I mean, Croatia have a right back that looks great, but he can't get in the Celtic side.

It would be amazing if scouts have totally missed him.

In years gone by, there have been players bought for big money, based solely on World Cup performances and they've turned out to be utter shite.

Really enjoyed that, but wished Morocco could have finished better and at least get a goal back.

Seems I'm in a minority here and would prefer France to win the tournament. Either way, we have two deserving finalists.

If you believe L’Equipe we are willing to pay €45m for him….

As a moroccan, I'm very very very proud of this team. First things first, we suffered because of some awful referee decisions today. Boufal was fouled and it should have a been a penalty.... Another clear penalty afterwards also. In general referee favoured France just like against England. No use of var, nothing. Later our own mistakes caused our defeat really. Regrargui made a big error with his substitutions as well.

I can accept defeat but it hurts when you're the cause of your own defeat and the referee is as well. Regardless I'm very proud of these boys. They've made our whole nation proud and the world proud. All this to say GO ARGENTINA

Come on man.  The ref was fine today.

You lost because France was able to do something no other team tried - they pulled you out of the system that got you to the semis.  Instead of sitting back and absorbing pressure, you guys actually controlled the ball.

Once France scored, you were let down by a lack of finishing.

There were two penalties that should have been reviewed by VAR at the very least. Besides those he was alright but at least review them. Every mistake counts. Cheers.

I can't blame the referee for our missed chances, poor substitutions and individual errors but when you don't even go to var regarding two potential penalties there's an issue. That's all I'm saying. Peace

I'm no fan of VAR, and it is appallingly inconsistent, but the VAR team was sat there with a bank of screens looking at absolutely everything that happened. If they'd thought there was something to review more carefully they'd have done so. Basically you don't go to VAR, VAR comes to you.

As for the penalties, I'm pretty sure that if I were Moroccan I'd think they were clear penalties, and if I were French I'd think they were obviously not penalties. As a neutral I think they could have gone either way, and there's not enough in either to overrule whatever decision was made by the ref. If that makes sense?

lol

Incredible strength to push the player down like that without gripping him. Almost like the player is folding over and trying to cheat the ref.

Fair play to Morocco over all though, what a world cup. You'll be a marked team and seen as a scalp for a lot of nations now :D

I hope your boys take the 3rd place play off seriously as I have no doubt you'll be able to beat Croatia. What's the general vibe of the fans on the 3rd place play off, are fans wanting to do well or not bothered now they've been knocked out?

The first penalty shout is more clear,

Take a look for yourself. The funny thing is boufal was given a yellow for diving? I guess lol. I'm not even saying it's a penalty, but var should have intervened

And we want our best team to play still. Everyone wants third place. Whatever happens this is history. We've never been this far!

The first one I am still undecided, I keep flipping between pen and no pen lol I don't think anyone should win a penalty if they're not in obviously in control or running onto a ball. Unless it's literally someone getting kicked or punched on purpose haha.

The fact Hernandez got a touch and then his momentum took him into Boufal for me probably means it's not a pen. It definitely wasn't a yellow card though... Also Hernandez's OTT reaction told me he was definitely worried about a pen being given.

I'll be backing your lads on Saturday no doubt. I hope you come out and take the game to Croatia. They're there to be beaten and the highlights and bits of Morocco I've seen, have been very reminiscent our title winning 15/16 team.

Exactly! Thank you for the kind words. I thought the same thing regarding our title winning team and my national team. You're welcome to Morocco whenever you want my friend 👍

Four World Cup finals in 25 years is pretty impressive performances aside

Their recent squads have been so good, even back those years to 1998. Obviously Zidane the oustanding player but the likes of Henry/Vieira/Thuram/Griezmann/Mbappe over the years.

I know of Fontaine and Platini, obviously Platini is well regarded as one of the greats, but I don't know if they were deemed as underachievers prior to 1998.

It's nice that the majority of England now realises that France aren't just decent because of Mbappe :D

Griezmann is the man. I always said his performance against us for Atletico is the best I've ever seen live.
