After the Man City vs Liverpool match.

https://www.efl.com/news/2022/december/carabao-cup-quarter-final-draw-details/

Games to be played the midweek after the FA Cup weekend (w/c/ 9th January). Who do we fancy? Home or away?

Newcastle

Wolves

Southampton

Forest

Charlton

Man U

Man City/Liverpool

Any home game is fine for me, don't really care about opponent. Obviously a "lower" team might be preferable but we can beat anyone in all honesty.

Good chance against anyone really. Man City and Liverpool likely to rotate, so really is a level playing field. Hope we prioritise this competition!!

absolutely this. winning becomes a habit...

Could easily be an all premier league affair by tonight, which is a little sad at the QF stage. Goes to show mid table sides taking it a lot more seriously now though!

Nailed on Liverpool away again though isn't it lol

If Blackburn go full strength I’d fancy them to beat Forest.

Likewise, Burnley if they go for it, and Man Utd are slightly off the pace I wouldn’t be surprised to see an upset.

Would be great, Blackburn especially, they're looking good under JDT

Why is everyone treating Newcastle like prime Barca these days lol the love in for them is rediculous

For me its more a feeling like they are 100% after a cup and so are a slightly bigger threat than a less focussed Manc or Lpool

Probably because it's the third (arguably second) toughest draw we could get I'd imagine, I don't think anyone is putting them on a pedestal

thought it was more the fact we would have played them extremely recently.

Don't want Forest twice in a week although they'd be one of the kinder ties. We should be totally going for this. Best route we have back into Europe.

If there's a god the winner of Man City or Liverpool will get Newcastle.

Feel like a Man City v Newcastle final is nailed on though annoyingly.

I think we'll get Man Utd.

Isn't it the 5th year in 6 we've made the quarters? We are usually very reliable to get to them but almost always go out in them.
