How did COVID impact on the owner's business impact our PSR failings ? Or better still how did it impact our signing of Vestegaard and Bertrand on £80k contracts each ? New strand ?

Because the postponement of the season affected our momentum when we were flying in the league.

I'm convinced we would have qualified for the CL if that never happened and then we wouldn't be in today's financial mess.

The arse fell out of King Powers  business hence we were lumbered with the huge debt from Seagrave and we could only afford to sign shit for the team.

But like you say it doesn't excuse the excessive wages for new recruits.

Once we rewarded the existing playing staff for the title, players share agents, word got around and we fell into the trap of over paying on wages.

I'm just not as negative as everyone on here, we fluked a title win and the board have made mistakes but so have Arsenal and Man Utd since their glory years, so it isn't that easy running a club.

Nothing quite as negative as incorrectly shitting on this clubs greatest achievement.

Think Ontario had a bloody mare of a day yesterday, hopefully the rest has done him good:thumbup:

You're claiming we fluked the title. Enough evidence there if anyone needed it that you should be ignored.

God everyone is so touchy on here and takes everything literally and quick to jump down people's throats.

Fluked as in we were 5000-1, it wasn't an objective for the club. We sacked Ranieri the following season which doesn't sit well.

Obviously the players and manager never fluked the title win, showed tremendous character and bottle and fully deserved it.

We were going down. The club’s financial livelyhood would have been in the same dilemma as now

Besides beating Villa 4-0 our form at the start of 2020 was absolutely honking. The decline was already in full swing, it was the moment something switched in BR's brain and started our decline.

So not fluked then.

Absolutely the wrong word that devalues the thing completely (if you take any notice of it, which would be insane)

Also Claudio absolutely needed to be sacked.

Went downhill as soon as Rodgers signed his new contract at the start of December 2019

Not to do with our stadium atmosphere, so apologies that it’s off topic, but this is what it’s all about.
A couple of YB fans, in the stadium after their loss against Celtic last night, presented a young Celtic fan with a YB scarf, then this happened.
Amazing support all night apparently, even with a loss, and a heartwarming video.

How toxic was it for the home fans today? Saw they hung up a banner as the stadium was empty about wanting to change of owners.

Much heat on Ange or Levy?

Mild toxicity - levy out was loud but only came from their Kop.

Spoke to a few on the way back to Euston. Many said it’s the worst they’ve known it, both standard of football/table position and atmosphere wise. Did anyone catch the full time banner? Was something like ‘24 years, X amount of managers, time for a change” ?

Yeah that's what they showed.

'24 years. 16 managers. 1 trophy.

Time for change'

Returning to the atmosphere at our place.

AC Milan ultras, unhappy with the powers that be regarding the running of their club, today remained totally silent throughout their game with Parma.

For those that are unaware, the whole of the Curva Sud total silence for 90 minutes is something that NEVER happens.

Remains to be seen if they get the outcome required but got me thinking we could do something similar, let's face it, we are halfway there already.

Any thoughts?

No one would notice the difference. Our stadium is silent anyway lol
