When Perez came in it did make me a little confused. 30M quoted at the time, and there's talk that it was a signing Brendan requested. He's had the tiny flash of brilliance but he's more frustrating than anything.

We have bought a lot of crap in the last two years. But how much of it is down to Brendan and his team?

We’ve really not spent anything at all. Compared to most Premier League teams and considering we’ve been in Europe and the players we’ve sold. It’s not about pissing money away, it’s about not spending any money really on a squad that badly needs it.

No not in terms of investment but we clearly have players like Bertrand, et al on decent contracts with good wages sucking up any latitude we've got. You can forgive players not working out but not wasting sums of money that leave us with our pants down.

Spending 100m on a training ground....no good if we're in the Championship

No good when our best players will always chase the money/European competitions over training at a nice base either.

Honestly can someone explain why we didn't buy lookman

I think it was beacause BR was hoping to bring someone better in. Then the lack of money story broke and it was too late,

Lookman had signed for the Italian team.

I can't see why it isn't down to him, he doesn't strike me as the sort who would let any interference ride at all hence his dissatisfaction with the stance in the summer. He's got nothing to fear on his payout either for sticking two fingers up if we signed someone he didn't want. So unfortunately I believe it is down to him at least 75% and possibly 25% of whoever in the boardroom said "OK, Brendan!".

The rumour I heard from a guy who’s very close to the club:

We verbally had a deal agreed with his club for circa €14m.  But when it came to the final talks and signing papers, Rudkin low-balled them with an offer closer to €9m.
So they basically said **** off.

Couple of questions and one thought:

Why the massive hellbent aversion to breaking FFP? Every other ****er does it

How much is Rodgers actually on that we can’t afford to sack the guy?

Who on our board actually gives a ****?

We owe the Thais our hopes and dreams but their naivety is starting to show. Particularly that they kept the infrastructure the same as we’ve had since the Champ. The fact that they thought John Rudkin could manage a side consistently into the champions league and use the budget accordingly is starting to really bite us in the ass.

Our attempts to legitimately break into the disgusting elite the ‘right way’ have crippled our club. Congratulations to the super league six. They won.

There’s something going on here I’m sure of it.

How many games have the owners been to this season? I think Forest was the first of the season and not been here post-WC so maybe 4?!

Not signing any players, not renewing any contracts, not putting their hand in their pocket to sack Rodgers when it clearly needed doing (and will do again now), not getting any further with the stadium expansion.

It all screams of a club paralysed by not being able to, or not wanting to, spend money.

Well perhaps we're mortgaged up to the eyeballs with the training ground, etc? Either way if there is no money despite the 50 million or so left over from Fofana then where else has it gone?

We’re up for sale, aren’t we? Top has been absent for over a year dealing with his dodgy King Power affairs and nobody has been running the club.

No investment in players, no investment in this ground expansion that’s supposed to have been well underway and no questions asked of Brendan, the players or the medical team.

We’ve seemingly been abandoned and left to rot.

We’ve got:

Kelechi on £90k/week

Perez on £83k/week

even ****ing Vestergaard on £75k/ week.

Bertrand is on £78k/week!

Someone somewhere in the club is taking the piss.

I think this is the big problem, the wage bill is huge for players we probably don't even want and we can;t get shot of them because of whatever genius negotiated the contracts.

They also bizarrely had stewards guarding the Vichai statue as well.

If money is such an issue, why haven’t we sold the naming rights for the stadium or sold Belvoir Drive (with YMCA retaining their part)?

With many contracts expiring in the summer it's almost like we're just holding out, the board are crossing their fingers we don't get relegated so we can free up the wage bill.

The owners time to sell is now. His hearts not been in it for a while, we need a new owner with some cash to take us to the next level. The clubs been mismanaged from too to bottom for a few years now.

There will be no hard feelings with any fans with regards to the owners. But the time has come to sell.

Speaks volumes about how the club view the fans if that's true.

Why the **** would any of our fans have ANY gripe with that statue.

All gone. Seriously, wtf did we need a 100 million quid training ground? When do we expect to see any young players coming through of the quality that you’d expect from somewhere like that? 10 years, 15. It’s pretty pointless when you consider that any quality coming out of there will go to a big club for next to nothing anyway. Fvcking great big vanity project.

Problem is some of the contracts expiring are ones we'd perhaps like to keep, it's the ones that we don't that are crippling us.
