Every reliable source stated that Stoke wanted £15m weeks ago. Why didn’t we just pay it and get him in?! He could have played against Walsall as his first game rather than being chucked in to a tough PL game. Or not signing for us at all as the case may be…

I imagine now they’ve got Tuanzebe it’ll be sorted

Or not signing for us at all as the case may be… It's not ideal but In fairness we have no idea what's gone behind the scenes with the negotiations, his agent could of asked for more at the last minute, Stoke might have wanted the payments or add ons structured differently to us. We were also completing other deals whilst this had been going on.
