I think we’ll finish where we are now and on the basis of there being 4/5 worse teams than us.

We'll stay up with Maddison and likely go down without him.

And it's hard to be confident in keeping him healthy.

Everything feels like a relegation season this year. We’ve replaced players with ones with lesser ability.

Ability aside, however, I don’t think the players have got the right mentality. This isn’t helped by the contract situation with many of them.

Not enough ability, players who lack confidence and composure - it’s not a good mix. We also have a manager who’s very much recycle and repeat rather than change approach for a relegation battle.

IF we get players back from injury and IF we buy 2 or 3 more in January and IF they all hit the ground running - then I might have more hope. Recent history suggests we won’t

He stays, we go down. He goes, we have a chance of staying up but we're getting closer and closer to the point of no return.

NO from me. Players coming in. Players coming back from injury this/next month.

Example: New LB & JJ returning. Both of these change the dynamics of our team playing football higher up the pitch and on both flanks.

Brendan will take us down. If we finally sack him and get someone in who can organise the defence and motivate the players, we might survive.

Miserable sods...

Sure, things look a little bleak atm, but another signing or two in will revitalise the squad. Plus, having Maddison back and hopefully fully firing again will give the team a cutting edge it's lacked for a while.

I'm honestly not too worried, for all the teams problems there are others in a worse state right now.

Nothing is guaranteed and its definitly a transition period, but I reckon the team has enough to drag itself to safety this time.

The summer is going to be hugely important though

To be fair, we are shit and things havent got much better.  Tough games coming up so pinning hopes on 1 player or so is expecting a massive change.

The good part is that 8 other clubs are just as shit so anything is possible.

Brendan has to go.

Though he was pretty much out for the season?

Yeah, have to agree about Brendan now.

For the longest time I've been a reluctant supporter because he gets blamed not just for the parts that he's responsible for but also the contract terms, sole responsibility for signings, the root cause of every injury and probably the beer being flat in the concourse...

However, there's no easier way to change the attitude of the team than to change management and its reached that time for me. Who comes in that we can attract atm though?

Honestly, even alot of brendan out folk like myself don't have a guaranteed answer on that. Names have been floated about like dyche but my thing is the next manager is likely to be temporary to stop the rot. We need a change of tactic and desire. A half decent manager could do better for us right now.

This is the worst I’ve felt supporting the club for years, Rodgers is clueless, Top doesn’t give a shit, loads of players want out, fans seemingly don’t give a crap. It’s a far cry from the European nights we had a few years ago.

I don’t even get angry about it anymore. I’ve given up.

Would have said yes, but no, not after today,I saw something today that would suggest no

You also won’t get a fair reflection after losing to Brighton, despite them being 6th.

I'd be a more certain "No", but the difficulty of the situation is that usually there's a team that's cut adrift and the rest of the pack are realistically trying to avoid two relegation spots.  This season, nobody is cut adrift and all 3 spots are up for grabs.

It's going to be very, very close.
